Oh everyone is so...behaved and everything seems so scripted. Please just act like it's any regular day." Señora Guzmán said during the proposal dinner as she looked around, noticing how everyone seemed to be tense and on their best behavior. That would never do. She wanted to see just what kind of family her Mariano may be joining. Not just the flawless façade they were putting on.

"Ma'am?" Camilo asked furrowing his brow as he looked at her confused.

"I want to get to know what you're like on regular days away from others including us old Señoras. Just pretend that Alma and I aren't even here." Señora Guzmán said smiling at them and looking at Abuela to back her up. Abuela tensed as she stared coldly and dangerously at her family, warning them from behaving outrageously.

"You heard Señora Guzmán. Pretend like the two of us aren't even here." Abuela said although the edge in her voice told them what would happen if they embarrassed her in front of their guests.

Camilo and Mirabel looked at each other from across the table and seemed to be talking without saying a word as they grinned devilishly at each other.

"Oh boy here we go." Dolores murmured with a small grin while Pepa shook her head slightly with a small smile on her face as her husband kissed her cheek and laid one rough but gentle hand on her leg under the table. Her mother had no idea what can of worms she had just opened up. The devil twins had been let off of their leashes.

"Mirabel catch!" Camilo had a roll in hand that he tossed up into the air. Mirabel immediately jumped up to grab it in her mouth and she nearly landed it but tripped and fell onto the floor hard instead. Everyone winced at the cracking sound of her arm breaking during the fall.

"Mirabe-" Luisa was starting to push herself up to get to her sister but Antonio was already beside her holding an arepa. Abuela and Isabela glared darkly at the girl who laughed as she stood up, ignoring their glares.

"I'm okay. It was just my arm." Mirabel said and she patted Antonio's head before she tossed the arepa in her mouth, everyone wincing at the sound of her arm snapping back into place. Julieta gave her husband an unamused look, knowing exactly where their youngest had gotten her clumsiness from.

"Niños I've told you about doing that inside." Pepa scolded the two who gave her matching grins as Mirabel sat back in her chair, this time with Antonio cuddled up onto her lap.

"Come on mamá, you know that watching Mirabel trip and fall is half the fun." Camilo said making Mirabel scowl playfully even as she shoved the bowl of rice at him while Antonio reached over and dragged the bowl of fruit that Dolores pushed their way closer.

"Just for that I'm throwing paint balloons in your room." Mirabel threatened as Dolores grinned slightly.

"I'll help." Camilo pouted at his hermana for that.

"Can I help too?" Antonio asked looking up at Mirabel who grinned at him.

"Of course you can. Why wouldn't I let my favorite primo help me?" Mirabel asked bopping Antonio's nose and giggling when his face scrunched up cutely.

"Ay I thought I was your favorite primo!" Camilo pouted at her and Mirabel tossed him an arepa.

"You're my twin idiota. You don't count." Mirabel said and Julieta opened her mouth to reprimand her daughter for insulting her primo.

"Mira no name calling." Pepa however beat her to it without even looking up from her plate.

"Yeah no name calling Mira." Camilo said shape shifting into his mother for a second.
