As Akkar awoke the next morning he felt rather drowsy, an uneasy feeling settling at the pit of his stomach, nonetheless, he forced himself to his feet and went about his usual routine.
He dressed himself, brushed and pinned up his hair, cleaned his weapons, and finally placed his weapons where they belonged. one of his swords on his back and the other on his hip, with daggers hidden and placed wherever he needed or deemed fit.
Dragging his feet as he went, the Half-Elf made his way out of his chambers and decided to take a quick walk around. He made it to the gardens and his footsteps slowed as he admired the flowers that bloomed and thrived there.
After a good while Akkar lifted his head as he heard chatter, he waited a moment and tensed before ultimately calming as he saw it was just Nasir and Vanya. He lowered his head and waited for them both to get closer before speaking up,
"morning,"
He spoke.
"Morning!"
Vanya said with a cheerful voice and a soft yet bright smile.
  "Good Morn"
Nasir replied, their head tilting to the right just slightly as they took in the Half-Elfs appearance.
"Come, walk with us old friend"
Vanya spoke and grabbed Akkar's hand before dragging both him and her twin with her as she walked.
"How did you sleep?"
She asked.
"It was sleep I suppose." Akkar replied, "I woke with a rather uneasy feeling this morning" He sighed.
"Oh, Well I'm sure it's probably because you're not use to this place anymore"
Vanya spoke before looking over at her twin, "What do you think?"
"I think," they speak, "that Akkar should relax."
"I'm fine guys, I'm sure it's-"
The Half-Elf was abruptly cut off by Lindir, the Elf apologizing quickly before turning to the twins.
"Lord Elrond has went out with a party of Elves, Orcs were spotted on our land. He requested that I inform you both"
He spoke while folding his hands in front of him neatly.
"Thank you, Lindir." Vanya spoke gently, "we'll go wait for him. You may join us if you wish."
she speaks before grabing her siblings hand and dragging them with her before she paused and grabbed Akkars hand again too. Dragging both with her yet again. Akkar heard Lindir snort quietly before the Elf followed behing the three.
As they got to the courtyard, Vanya let go of Akkar and Nasir's hands to sit down at the very top of the steps, Akkar sighed and went to lean against one of the stone pillars.
Nasir sat beside their sister and Lindir chose to stand. Akkar noticed as dwarves and a wizard walked into the courtyard.
Lindir walked down the stairs and spoke to the wizard, "Mithrandir." he greeted, putting his right hand against his chest before gesturing it towards the wizard.
  "ah, Lindir"
The wizard spoke before seeing the twins,
  "Vanya, Nasir."
he said with a joyful smile,
"Mithrandir."
they both greeted at the same time from the top of the steps, "we heard you have crossed into the valley." Lindir said, deciding to switch to elvish,
"I must speak with lord Elrond."
"my lord Elrond is not here."
  "not here? where is he?"
Gandalf asked, confusion lacing his tone, Lindir didn't have a chance to reply as horse's could be heard galloping on the bridge. Gandalf smirked at the twins and Lindir before turning towards the sound.
Akkar watches as the dwarves' shout and form a defensive circle, around what? Akkar could not tell just yet. He watched as the dwarves raised their weapons, ready to attack.
Akkar decided to push off the pillar he was leaning against, walking closer towards the stairs and deciding to stand behind where Vanya and Nasir were sitting to get a better look.
As he did that the Elven knights rode in, circling the dwarves as Lord Elrond eventually stopped in front of Gandalf and Lindir, who was still behind the wizard.
  "Gandalf."
"Lord Elrond, my friend, where have you been?" Gandalf replied in elvish while doing the hand greeting.
"we've been hunting a pack of orcs that came up from the south. We slew a number near the hidden pass," Elrond replied while dismounting his horse and walking towards Gandalf, hugging him,
"strange for orcs to come so close to our borders, something or someone has drawn them near."
As Elrond was speaking the twins where snickering while watching the dwarves, most likely having found a way to communicate silently between themselves, Akkar continued to stand silently and observe. Not sure of what else he could possibly be doing.
"that may have been us." Gandalf replied to Lord Elrond's previous statement before Thorin walked closer to the two,
"Welcome Thorin, son of thran." The elven lord spoke calmly.
"I do not believe we have met" The dwarf spoke.
Akkar raised an eyebrow at that, do all dwarves have such little respect? it was horrible.
Elrond breathed in,
"you have your grandfather's bearing. I knew Thror when he ruled under the mountain"
It did not take much to see that the Elven Lord was well practiced in controlling his temper.
At those words, Thorin couldn't help but glare at Elrond.
"indeed? he made no mention of you."
the dwarf spit, a glare in his eyes.
Elrond did nothing but squint his eyes at the dwarf. "Light the fires, bring forth the wine, we must feed our guests" He speaks up.
Akkar watched as another dwarf pushed through the group, his weapon raised,
"what is he saying? does he offer us insult?!" before anyone could correct him the Half-Elf scoffed from his place at the top of the stairs bringing everyone's attention to him, even the twins who he stood behind both looked up at him.
Akkar glared down at the group of dwarves as he spoke up, "No Dwarf. he offered you food. You should choose to be grateful."
"It's quite alright Akkar" Elrond spoke, the dwarves huddled into one another whispering amongst themselves.
After a moment or two the dwarves were nodding as they turned back to the Elven lord, "Well in that case, lead on" A dwarf spoke.
As the words were spoken Akkar scoffed, rolling his eyes before turning and going to stand back beside the pillar, the twins following him as the three watched the dwarves, Gandalf, Lindir and Lord Elrond walk by.
