The company walked for quite a while, traveling through mountains covered in moss, yellow grassy plains, rocky hills, and even after all of that they found themselves on a steep, narrow mountain path with heavy rain.
The traveling company was trying their best not to slip and fall over the side of the path while they walked.
Akkar took up the rear of the company, for his own comfort, ensuring no one was left behind.
The half elf carefully watched ahead the beat he could though with the rain like it was it was hard to see some things, he became concerned as someone ahead made a startled yelp.
Nasir moved quicker than the rest, leaping to catch Bilbo's hand before pulling the hobbit back over the side of the ledge.
"Careful hobbit."
Bilbo put himself firm against the side of the mountain, letting out calming breaths as he sighed in relief.
"Thank you..."
The hobbit spoke, and Nasir grinned toothily.
"It's no problem."

Vanya sighed and looked at Akkar, her head tilting as the half elf looked concerned. Akkar opened his mouth to holler something to the company but Thorin beat him to it and demanded they find shelter from the storm before they actually did loose people and friends.
Everyone moved to comply though as Dwalin shouted everyone paused for a moment, eyes widening as they seen a bolder coming towards them.
"Watch out!"
The bolder hit just above where they were standing, shattering and breaking into many different smaller pieces of rock.
Akkar moved quickly to shield the two young dwarven princes that were closest to him as Vanya shielded the hobbit and Nasir shielded
Some of the dwarves nearest to him.
When it was deemed safe to stand Akkar swiftly made his way to Vanya who was closest to him, checking on her before making his way to Nasir.
"Are either of you hurt?" He spoke, he couldn't see much from where he was.
"No"
"I'm ok"
Akkar nodded at the twins and as Dwalin shouted again they all turned towards him. As the dwarf pointed they followed his finger and line of sight before breath left them all. The whole company stood in shock and (some in awe) as they seen a rock giant pick up another rock.
Bofur had quickly spoke from beside Vanya with some excitement,
"well, bless me. the legends are true. Giants! Stone-Giants!"

Another bolder was thrown. Though this time it wasn't directed towards them, but instead another stone giant that emerged from the side of the mountain.
The giant was hit in the chest with the bolder and as the giant was hit it grew angry though it stumbled into the mountain the company stood on, causing rubble to fly at them in the process.
  "Take cover, you fool!"
As Thorin shouted at a frozen Bofur, Nasir and Fili took action and pulled the dwarf back just as rocks were sent flying their way.
"Look out!" Akkar shouted as the large group was forced to press up against the wall while the already narrow path became smaller and smaller.
A crack appeared and slowly but surly began to separate the company into two groups.
Nasir began to panic as he seen that Vanya was on one of the stone giants, Akkar grabbed Nasir as the elf moved to try and find a way to get to her.
Nasir hid his face away in Akkar's arm as the half elf watched the Stone giant's battle.
A bolder went flying into a giants face, knocking its head right off its shoulders. It stumbled backwards with its knees bent and the giant fell right down with a ground shaking thud.
Akkar gently moved Nasir away and quickly moved to check on the group that had been separated from the others. Others followed him and everyone seemed shaken but alright.
  "Vanya!-"
As Akkar spoke the elven maiden looked up and as he seen her scratched face he gave a grunt.
   "Are you alright?"
Before Vanya gets a chance to answer the half elf, Nasir pushes past him to check on his sister. The male speaking quickly in elvish as he checked on her. Akkar shook his head and let them talk as he turned towards shouting.
As he moved closer he seen Bilbo hanging onto the edge of the rather steep drop, clinging onto it harshly with fearful eyes as Thorin tried and failed to grab the hobbit's hand though it was to slippery and every attempt failed.
Akkar grunted and grabbed the ledge before landing on a rock that was beside Bilbo, hoisting the hobbit up by his waist and letting Thorin pull poor Bilbo up the rest of the way.
Akkar gave a breath of air before climbing back up, cutting his hands a bit but he ignored it as it could have very well been worse.
Akkar looked at Nasir and Vanya, who watched him with shared nervous looks. He smiled in amusement at the twins somewhat shared personality.
"I thought we lost our burglar"
Dwalin had spoken with semi hidden happiness, most likely just glad probably that no one got to hurt, though Thorin sneered.
"He's been lost ever since he left home. He should have never come. He has no place among us"
As the Dwarven prince spoke Akkar felt anger simmer beneath his skin, he clinched his fists and loosened them as he glared at Thorin.
  "you should be grateful."
As the half elf speaks everyone's attention turns to him.
"if I was the hobbit I would have left in the first hour of being in your presence. you're ungrateful. You're rude. and overall you have a large arrogant attitude that will be your downfall one way or another."
Akkar all but growled out his angered statement towards the dwarf as he seethed with anger. Nasir hesitated and stepped closer to Akkar, placing a hand on his arm.
   "Don't start a fight, please."
"He deserves it!"
Akkar snips at no one in general and Nasir flinched, Akkar seen him flinch and his anger deflated and was replaced with hidden guilt.
He didn't speak after that, just zoning voices out and following the company silently.

(time skip)

The company laid in a cold, dark cave that had been found by Thorin and Dwalin.
Akkar rested on his back as he stared at the ceiling of the cave, studying the rock patterns as sleep refused to find him.
The half elf heard talking but he blocked it out as he tried to shake the feeling of something bad about to happen. Akkar only came to his senses as Thorin started yelling for everyone to wake up.
Akkar shot up immediately, and was about to stand but as he was in a crouch the ground beneath the company collapsed. And everyone was sent falling.
Akkar gave a loud groan of pain as he landed on his back, the wind getting knocked out of him, as he laid disoriented for a moment he made sounds of pain as Nasir and Kili both fell on top of him.
After they both got up he forced himself to get up, stumbling slightly.
  "look out!"
Balin shouted as a pack of little goblins came there way, Akkar grabbed his daggers and spun them in his hands before grunting as one of the dwarves was pushed into him causing him to stumble again. Vanya attempted to use her magic though it failed and she was grabbed like the rest of them.
Akkar and Vanya had their hands tied unlike the rest of the company, which Akkar found strange but didn't speak of it as he looked around the caverns as they were pushed along the wooden path.
The company was dragged all throughout a torchlight cave system and finally they ended up in front of a huge goblin who held the persona as king as he sat upon a throne-like structure.
The Goblin king was laughing as the company was forced to stop in front of him and the smaller goblins began to grab all their weapons.
Akkar glared heatedly as his precious swords and daggers were taken from him and if looks could kill they'd all be out of this situation already.
As the Goblin king finally decided to lift himself up off his throne he stumbled towards the company and spoke.
"Who would be so bold as to come armed in my kingdom? spies? Thieves? assassins?"
One of the smaller Goblins, the one closest to the king had turned towards him and spoke.
"Dwarves, elves, and a human, your malevolence"
   "Dwarves? Elves? a human?"
The Goblin king questioned before speaking again,
"well, don't just stand there. search them"
Akkar narrowed his eyes at the demand and glared as filthy goblin hands came towards him. As if taking his beautiful weapons weren't enough. Just as a goblin was about to search him he drove his knee into one of the goblins stomach area and though his hands were bound unlike the others in the company he managed to elbow the goblin that was behind him.
The other goblins seen this and didn't want to come close to him, resorting in standing around him and batting their weapons at him as the Goblin king spoke up again.
"What are you doing in these parts?"
As none of the company answered the movement around them ceased and the Goblin king glared in distaste for the silence.
"very well. if they will not talk make them squwak. Bring up the mangler! Bring out the bonebreaker!"
As the Goblin king spoke the smaller goblins cheered and the cheering was more prominent as the king pointed to Nasir and Vanya.
  "Start with the elves!"
Akkar felt anger begin to simmer beneath his skin as he tried to move closer, obviously going to try, and fail, to kill the king but he was quickly tripped and held down on his knees by a few of the smaller goblins.
  "Wait!"
As a voice from behind Akkar spoke up everything paused and as the half elf turned his head he seen none other than Thorin step forward from having spoke up.
"well, well, well. look who it is. Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror, King under the mountain"
As The Goblin king spoke he mockingly bowed, before quickly straitening up as he feigned realization.
"oh, but I'm forgetting. you don't have a mountain. and your not a king which makes you... a nobody, really"
A sudden cackle was heard from the crowd and the Goblin king froze.
  "What are you laughing about!?"
As the crowd of goblins and dwarves parted Nasir was revealed, a grin on his face though he was still being held by goblins. The elf smirked.
  "My sincerest apologies My king."
The elf spoke mockingly,
"I just found it quite amusing that Thorin doesn't have a kingdom yet, but is already a better ruler then you."
As Nasir spoke the silence was defining. You could hear water drop.
"Oh, And also how ugly you are- I mean have you seen yourself?"
Thorin gave a small faint smile towards the elf, the Dwarven prince may have been considering having a small change of heart towards the elf. Though the quiet didn't last as Nasir was hit by the smaller goblins, the elf doubling over in pain.
Akkar turned back from Nasir and the scene to harshly glare daggers at the Goblin king as he did his best to escape the bonds the goblins placed on him and also trying to shake the goblins that held him down on his knees. The half elf was more than ready to kill the creatures. The Goblin king had an ugly smirk on his face as he looked at the company of 17.
