Y/N POV
Clem, Me, Carley and Christa sit on logs in the rain. Clem is now 11, I'm 13 and Carley is 25. We're trying to keep a fire lit but the rain is being a bitch. Christa also... lost her baby.
Clem: Christa, talk to us.
Y/N: Yeah, come on.
Ever since Omid died Christa has drastically changed and her losing her baby only made things worse.
Christa sighs, stands up, and tends to the fire.
Christa: This'll never work. Look at this, it's pathetic. The wood's too wet to burn. There's more smoke than flame. At this rate, we'll be eating this for breakfast.
Clem: What else can we do?
Christa: Find something that'll burn, maybe. I dunno. Won't be easy in the dark and in the rain. You two should be doing this, not me. Tending a fire so you can cook and stay warm. It's something you have to be able to do, Clementine, Y/N Otherwise...
Carley: Give them a break Christa.
Clem: We can't build a big fire at night. It attracts too much attention. It's too dangerous when we're out here by ourselves.
Carley: She's right we can't attract any attention.
Christa: We need to eat, don't we? We can't survive without food.
Clem wraps her arms around herself.
Clem: I'm freezing.
Y/N: You should of told me sooner.
I take off my Master Of Puppets sweater and hand it to her. She was hesitant to take it.
Y/N: Clem please take it.
Clem takes it and puts it on.
Y/N: My little Rockstar.
Clem smiles.
Clem: What about you?
Y/N: I have you to keep me warm.
Clem blushes.
Clem: Quiet dork.
I smile and wrap an arm around her and snuggle into her.
Christa: You think this is bad, wait 'til we get up to Wellington, then talk to me about cold. If we make it. We still have a couple hard months ahead of us. This rain will turn to sleet, then ice, then snow. It won't be easy.
Carley: We can do it. My babies are strong.
Me and Clem smile.
Clem: Is it safe there?
Christa: Safer than here because of the cold. or so they say. We just need to keep moving north.
Carley: Sure as hell can't stay here.
Clem: I miss Lee.
Y/N: Me too honey bun.
Christa: I'm sure you both do. (sighs) I'm gonna go look for more wood with Carley. You two just keep the fire lit.
Carley was about to leave but I run up to her.
Carley: Yeah babe?
Y/N: I think I'm gonna confess my crush to Clem.
Carley smiles and pulls me into a hug.
Carley: Go for it kiddo. I know she'll like you back.
Y/N: Okay mom.
We kiss on the lips and I grab her butt tightly.
Carley: [moan] Uhhh.
Y/N: My favourite sound.
