Y/N POV

We are now inside the cabin and we talked to everyone. Clem still blames herself for Lee's death and I comforted her a told her it wasn't her fault and after she cried into me she fell asleep on me and I carried her to bed and we slept. Me and Clem are currently snuggled together for the first time and It feels great.

Pete: Kids!

Clem/Y/N: What?

Pete: Get up we're heading out soon.

Pete leaves.

I look over to see a lot little drool from where Clem slept on my chest.

Y/N: Morning honey bun.

Clem: Morning teddy bear.

Clem pulls me into a kiss.

Y/N: You fell asleep on me at the table.

Clem blushes.

Clem: Sorry. I was exhausted.

Y/N: It's fine you looked so cute.

Clem smiles.

Y/N: You also seemed to drool on me.

Clem looks at the drool mark.

Clem: S-Sorry.

Y/N: Don't be sorry Clem. You looked so peaceful I couldn't help but smile.

Clem smiles.

Clem: Let's get ready to head out.

Y/N: Okay.

Forest

Clem, me and Pete walk through the forest on their way to the river.

Pete: How ya holding up? I heard you got an earful from Rebecca last night. Once she gets going, there's no bringing her back. Her bark's worse than her bite.

Y/N:: She's got a big mouth and needs to learn to shut it.

Pete: She was in a mood last night, that's for sure...

Clem: How far are these fish traps?

Pete: It ain't much further. (notices Clem and me looking at his rifle) Anyone teach you two how to shoot? By that I mean taught proper. Any idiot with a finger can shoot.

I pull out my M1911.

Y/N: Yeah our friend Lee taught us.

Pete: That's good. It's important nowadays.

Clem: But not a rifle though!

Pete: Well, that makes sense. Less kick. This thing would probably knock you on your ass, you might be able to withstand it son.

Y/N: Maybe.

Clem looks down sad because she isn't strong enough yet. I pull her into a side hug.

Y/N: Don't worry Clem you'll get stronger.

Clem: I know.

Pete: Nick was about your age son for the first time I took him huntin'. Came across this beautiful 13-point buck just standin' there on the ridgeline. The boy takes the rifle, lines up the shot just like I taught him, then I hear him start whinin'. He turns to me and he says, "I can't do it. I can't shoot it, Uncle Pete. Please don't make me shoot it."

Y/N: What a pussy!

Nick runs up to us.

Nick: Hey! Why didn't you wait?

Pete: You want us standin' around while you piss on a tree? You know where the river is, boy.

We continue walking.
