I'm dead asleep when I could feel the bed shake. Opening my eyes I notice that Jaehyun was sleeping roughly, more like a nightmare. Quickly I turn on the lamp before I begin shaking Jaehyun. His eyes snap open and he's breathing heavily, his eyes dart around till they land on me.
"Jagiya" "You were having a nightmare, Jaehyun"
I see tears in his eyes before they fall down his cheeks. What was he dreaming of? I brush away his tears before pulling him into a hug where he begins to cry again. He holds onto me tightly
"Can you tell me what it was about?"
He shakes his head as I get pulled closer
"Do you just want me to keep holding you?" "I need to hear your heartbeat" "Jaehyun, did you have a nightmare of me being dead?"
He is silent before I feel him nod
"I'm not going anywhere, I always be right beside you"
I run my fingers through his hair, trying to relax him but he seems shaken up by the nightmare whatever it was. I move us so that I'm laying on my back with his head resting on my chest right above my heart
"My heart is still beating, there will never be a day where it will stop unexpectedly. The only time it will stop is when I'm old and it is my time"
I can feel him relax a little
"Nothing will happen as you are there to protect me" "I won't let anything stop it" "I know you won't"
His arms tighten around me again and I don't stop running my fingers through his hair
Glancing at Jaehyun as I finish the song I can see that he has fallen back asleep, far more relaxed.
"I'm not leaving leaving you Jaehyun, not yet. You are the reason I haven't tried to stop it all"
