Everything appeared to have reverted to normal, aside from two things. That creature was still here, and everyone previously there vanished. That creature appeared to be wearing a stone mask with no holes to see through. Thank God, I couldn't stand seeing that hideous face anyway. Though we couldn't see the face of the creature, I sensed it didn't have its usual eerie smile. I actually felt a disappointed gaze on us, as if it were frowning. Chills shot up my spine. What a surprising, yet scary change? I look over to Willow to see her shocked face. I peel my eyes away from her to check on the creature, gone.
"Let's get out of here, before it returns." I say.
"Yeah... I'm not sure what happened but we'll discuss it on the way back home." She replies in a rushed, shaky voice.
I slide off the conjoined seating and watch Willow as she also slides off. Usually I wouldn't be this cautious but we did just witness something straight out of a horror movie. We walk towards the door before we're interrupted by Willow's halt of steps.
"I left my bag, follow me back to the table. It's better to leave as less distance between us as possible." She says in a rather monotone voice.
Something feels off, I'm not sure what though. I feel an aura creep up behind me, a familiar one, but where do I know this? I know I only felt it for a brief moment... the mask! I turn around quickly to see Willow looking at me confused. Thank God I didn't turn around to see her wearing that horrifying mask.
"Well? Weren't you the one saying we should get out here quickly, hurry up." Willow said in a nervous but impatient voice.
I followed her to the table, she grabs her bag and I catch a slight glimpse at the table, and there that mask was, laid on the table with a wide, eerie smile, the same as that creature. Hell no, I'm not even gonna point that out. We already have to deal with some stupid creature who is probably well capable of killing us already. It's not a good time to add a stupid mask on top of that. We walk towards the door again, pushing the doors open. Rather than being met by a street filled with cars, we're met by the ruins of a city.
