Enfold

Enfolded by the salve of love,

Carried to me by the song

Traveling into my brain like a breath, like a breeze,

Soft but so powerful, palpable.

I wonder if someone out there is listening to this song at the same time as I am.

I wonder if anyone else has ever listened to this song in this same place, or ever will.

I wonder if sound waves could alter the walls of a room,

Leaving behind some kind of imprint.

What would it look like?

Falling star, I wonder just how many wishes you are carrying,

Lighting up the sky, drawing forth the dawn.

Across the world, across millennia, we all see the same stars.

Anyone anywhere in the world can read this poem,

Without knowing me at all, without me knowing at all.
