Nora's POV
I woke up, squinting my eyes trying to adjust to the brightness. I looked around to find myself in a completely different looking room than I was previously staying at. So, panicking, I immediately got up and sat on the bed.
I felt as if everything around me was swaying, I felt a little dizzy. Where the hell am I? I tried to get off the bed, stumbling a few steps before balancing myself. Still, I felt like everything was moving.
I heard a door opening and I turned my head to the sound. My eyes widened when I saw Aiden, coming into the room with a tray in his hand.
"Good morning sweetheart." He said, smiling widely at me before proceeding to place the tray, which had food, down on the table beside the bed. I just numbly looked at him, trying to figure out whatever the hell is happening.
"Where are we Aiden?" I finally asked him, but my voice was so hoarse, it sounded like I was a seventy year old man on his death bed.
I cleared my throat as he chuckled and handed me a glass of water. I didn't take it from him but he urged me to do so. "Tell me where are w-" I was cut off when he placed the glass to my mouth. I gulped down the water, then he placed the glass back down and held my arms to make me sit on the bed.
But I yanked his hands away, standing up, yet again feeling dizzy. He made me sit again and held my face in hands.
"Look Nora, I will answer all your questions, but have your breakfast first, you are very weak since you haven't had anything to eat, it's almost noon. And I know you didn't even have your dinner last night." He kind of glared at me. I looked at the breakfast tray he bought for me which had a sandwich, omelet and a glass of juice.
I quickly finished all the breakfast, not quite surprising, I was hungry. Then I turned to him, to see him smiling at me with a loving gaze. I looked away from him and cleared my throat.
"Will you tell me now? Where are we and why are we here? How am I here? All I remember from last night is when Aria came and we were talking and then-" I paused, then it hit me.
"The lemonade." I turned to glare at him, while he scratched his neck sheepishly. No wonder Aria was acting weird. It must've made me unconscious and now I am here, where I don't even know. She really helped him. That little traitor.
"I'm sorry baby." Aiden said, pausing to hold my hands in his, tightening his hold on them, when I tried to remove them. "But I didn't have any other choice, you've been avoiding me since days." He said, in a kind of a whiny tone.
"I didn't even see you since three days, I was going crazy. When I had clearly asked you to give me a second chance to prove myself and you said you'll think about it and the next moment you start ignoring me and avoiding any kind of interaction with me, frustrated me to no ends." I kind of felt guilty when he said that.
"Are you saying it's my fault?" I stubbornly asked.
He looked at me and sighed. "You know I don't mean that Nora. Please, we don't have to go around complicating things more than they already are." He said and shook his head.
I stood up and glared at him. "Am I the one complicating things Aiden? When you seriously just kidnapped me and bought me somewhere I don't even know, just because I was avoiding you?" I asked him, raising my brows.
"You know what, I'm leaving Aiden." I gave him an annoyed look and proceeded to move out of the room. There were little stairs leading to up and I could hear... water?
I climbed up the stairs only to see we are in a cruise?
"Aiden what the fuck?!" I exclaimed, while the said man just strolled out of the room behind me, smirking lazily.
"Are we seriously in a god damn boat right now?" I glared at him and his audacity to smirk at me.
"Cruise actually, but okay, yeah we are. We're on our way to this amazing island." He paused, moving towards me, he cupped my cheeks. "..where it'll just be you and me, you will have lots of time to 'think about giving me a second chance' and we aren't leaving until then." He said quoting my words.
He then moved back and sat on one of the super comfy looking couches.
"Aiden this is craziness." I exclaimed, then sighed looking at him. "Aiden please, let's just go back. This is unnecessary." I tried to explain him.
"And what? You go back to avoiding me?" He asked, sassily.
"No Aiden.. please try to understand. It's not easy for me. It's not easy for me to just forgive you after what you did. I understand you are trying to convince me but can't we take it at my pace? I want to be sure of what I'm doing." I looked at him and said. "I don't want to be the same naive little Nora who fell for someone who wouldn't even trust her when need be."
Guilt flashed in his eyes as he clenched his jaw.
"Sure then, we will take it slow and steady. You can take as long a time as you need.." I looked at him and nodded. "But... we are not going back." I groaned. Not again.
"Aiden.."
"No Nora. You can't convince me on this. I know my mistake ruined us, I know how much my mistrust has hurt you. I know no matter how sorry I am, it can't suffice for what I did. But at least I want to try. And I'm only asking your permission for that." He paused looking at me.
"You need time? You take it. No matter how long. But on that island."
"Will you stay forever on that island?" I raised my brow at him.
"Will you take forever to think about us?" He asked me back.
"What if I do?" I said, infuriating him.
"Noraa." He groaned, annoyed.
Yeah well that's the plan. I'm gonna annoy him to no ends that he will be forced to take me back home.
"Whatever" I said, nonchalantly walking back to the room downstairs.
-
After a while, Aiden knocked at the door, telling me that we've arrived. I sighed and got out of the room, following him quietly as he carried a few bags.
Which reminds me, "What about my clothes?" I asked him, catching up with him. I couldn't help but notice that he slowed his pace to match with mine, making my heart flutter.
He gestured to one of the bags in his hand. "Aria packed it for you." I made an 'o' face and we walked ahead.
"Even your phone is in there." He said and I nodded.
A man and woman reached to us and bowed, greeting us.
"Good day sir, ma'am. We've made all the preparations, let me lead you to your room." The lady said while the guy took the luggage from Aiden. My eyes widened when she said that.
"Oh hell no Aiden." I held his arm, turning him to me. "I want my own room. You can't get me to sleep with-" He shushed me and said. "It's a two bedroom suite Nora. You can have your own room." He then proceeded to pull me closer to him and whispered so only I could hear it. "But I promise you baby, by the end of the day, you will be in my room, on my bed, sleeping with me." I was in a trance like state then he blew in my esr, making me flinch away. He walked ahead, chuckling, leaving me too stunned to speak.
After a few seconds I turned to where he was headed and yelled. "In your dreams Mr. Aiden King." He turned around blowing me a kiss and I scoffed.
He must be delusional if he thinks I'm gonna be sleeping with him. Asshole.
