Nora's POV

It's funny how life changes every minute, I think it's true what people say. Life is a book and it has many chapters.

I couldn't have imagined that I would be living a normal life after what happened with my parents. I'm still mostly consumed by that incident, yes. But I feel like I've learnt to live a normal life, without my parents.

Feels weird to say that. But I have. And it's easier now that I have people who care about me and love me. And I think that's what is necessary.

Aiden was trying to find out about that incident, about those people who killed my parents. Sometimes I think, scratch that, I always think what will I do, once I find those people, will I have the urge to kill them? Will I be strong enough to even face them?

I don't know, we'll leave that to later. When we actually find them. Then we will think about it.

"Where are you lost?" I heard Aiden, we were on our way to the office.

"She must be lost in your thoughts." Says Aria from behind. I turned and made a ridiculous face at her.

"Why does she need to get lost in my thoughts when I'm right here?" Aiden replies, smirking.

"Guys I'm right here." I exclaimed at them and they did nothing but laugh.

I scoffed. "Whatever. I was not thinking about you anyway."

"Oh by the way Nora, Aiden and I have been meaning to tell you this." Aria started and I looked at her, to continue.

"So, for our collaboration, the designs your team submitted, the clients also have to approve of it, right. So we have a meeting by the end of this week, in which you will be presenting the designs to them."

"Me?" I asked, flabbergasted.

"Yes you." Aiden replied.

"But, isn't it the team leader who's supposed to present the designs?" I questioned, confused.

"Yes, but your team leader is not available that day, so you will have to present the designs. Can't help you with that." Aria explained.

"But there are others aswell right, they can present." I argued.

I feel Aiden's hand on top of mine.

"Nora relax. Babe we just want you to do it, because we trust you, because we know you are the most capable. That's why." He said.

"I know, thank you guys but I-" I paused, sighing.

"What are you afraid of?" He asked.

I'm afraid. I'm scared of what people talk. It's been a couple months since I started working there, but people still talk. They never forget.

They think I'm only on this job, because Aria is my friend. And no one even knows about me and Aiden yet.

"I.. I'm just.. it's been very long since I've been in front of people, it's... it's scary." I half lied.

"See that's another reason why we want you to do it, you have a competition coming up, you have to have to practice to be on stage. There's no more arguments on this. You are doing it. That's it." Aria said.

I sighed and nodded, smiling at them. "I'll try my best."

Aiden gave a squeeze to my hand. I smiled at him and nodded.

Aiden's POV

I'm glad she agreed to do this. I knew what she was so hesitant about. She once slipped out about the gossip from people.
