Nora's POV
As much as I tried not to, seeing him still reminds me of what he did last night, the way he insulted me.
Also, I'm still confused as to why he even gave me an opportunity to sign up for this event.
I mean, he hates me right?
So why would he want to help me?
Maybe because he said he anyhow needed another participant, and since I was here he didn't want to search for anyone else.
But I shouldn't overthink this, because this is a very great opportunity for me, I can't let it slip away.
And I'm going to make the best of it.
Aria and I walked out of his cabin.
"See, I told you it would all work out. Now come on, all the other contestants must be here. You see, you all have this kind of orientation, maybe? Yeah so that all the contestants can get to know each other, Aiden will be giving a little speech. And that's it. Try to enjoy with everyone out there." She said, while holding my hands in hers. "Cause now I have to leave. And if you need anything I'm just a call away." She smiled at the end and I smiled back at her, grateful.
All this happened because of her. I don't know what I would do without her. And she still doesn't know about my situation.
Maybe one day, I'll gather enough courage to tell her about my past. But I'm not sure if I should tell her about Aiden and I.
"I'll be fine." I assured her.
"I know you will be. I trust you. Now go in there and just be yourself." She told me and I took in a deep breath and smiled at her.
"Thank you Ari." I thanked her, sincerely.
"Oh come on. I did nothing, now go ahead, I need to leave." She said and hurried away, after waving at me once again.
I went inside the meeting hall, there were only a few people inside, maybe there's still time.
I noticed a guy who smiled and waved at me. So I smiled and did the same. He made his way towards me.
"Hey, Christian Baker." He introduced himself and held his hand in front for me to shake.
"Nora Scott." I shook hands with him.
"But you can call me Chris." He said and winked. I raised my eyebrows and chuckled.
"Sure, Chris." I told and he nodded, in satisfaction.
"Since you are standing here all alone, do you want to come meet the others?" He asked and I nodded. we started walking in the opposite direction and I just followed him. He went to the table he was previously standing near.
There were 2 girls and another guy sitting and chatting amongst each other. They all looked at us when we reached there.
"Hey." one of the girl waved at me and I waved back. "Hi"
