<Deja poo: the feeling that you've heard this crap before>

"THIS IS five am in the morning! Five fucking am! How can we travel to Brazil right now?!!!" Jade hollered in my ears, her voice loud enough to make me deaf if I hadn't shifted the phone away. For someone who I assumed had just woken up from sleep, her voice was banging.

"Yes, five am," I deadpanned. "Get your sorry ass to the office right now. Also bring a change of clothes, we'll be staying there today and tomorrow."

"I hate you, you stuck-up bas-"

I shut my phone off. With a smug smile, I relaxed on the bed and gazed at the polished ceiling. So the bitch thought she could actually serve me peppered coffee and get away with it? No way.

Rolling off the bed, I padded across the expensive matte carpet to stand in front of my dresser. As I picked up the clothes I would take with me, my thoughts decided to settle on a certain black woman.

She was a challenge, that was for sure. A challenge that I ached to conquer. The fact that she was indebted to me and still had the guts to do whatever she desired elicited a weird response in me- attraction. Her burning fire, the insolence in her eyes as she stood very rigid, her sexy body encased in the classy suits she wore, all called to me. I loved her defiance and I wouldn't be fulfilled till I had extinguished that feisty fire that burned relentlessly in her.

It was an obsession.

I packed my belongings in a black bag, then took a quick shower. Done, I dressed up in a white armani shirt and trousers, choosing to leave the first three buttons unhooked. After donning on my watch, cufflinks and spraying some spicy cologne, I was ready.

There was just one person keeping me waiting. Jade. Grabbing my bags, I strode out of my lush apartment and into the elevator that would take me to the twentieth floor.

Ever since I had divorced Rina, I'd abandoned my mansion and chose instead to live in the penthouse above my office. Not only was it closer to work, the place ensured that Rina wouldn't be as free to barge in anytime she wished. Not with the guards patrolling around.

"Surprise, surprise, look who's here." Jade glared at me, venom dripping off her every word once she saw me step off the elevator. Decked up in a red gown, one that didn't fail to accentuate her dips and curves, she stood next to a suitcase, her handbag hanging off its handle.

A cross look wreathed her face into a frown. "It's 5:15 already. I thought you said 5:00 am."

"I did. We're actually leaving by 5:45 am but I wanted you to be early."

I paused, then, "Just in case you come late, like you always do."

Daggers shot out of her eyes, brows knitted in a deep vee as she snapped, "You woke me up by 5 a.m, just so you would have your perveted version of fun? You disgust me. You really do." She was fuming now, her entire body vibrating in fury. I sighed inwardly, the lady possessed a bad case of hot temper disorder.

I, however, was not ruffled by her display of tantrums. "If I disgust you, you wouldn't be standing here working as my personal assistant. Obviously that should tell you something."

"You- you obno-" Her lips formed a sexy o, the urge to draw her close and kiss the fury out of her flooding through me but I resisted, tamping down my desire. Where had that thought stemmed from?

Instead, I made a show of glancing at my watch. "Say no more. It's time to go down." I pushed my own baggage towards her. "Bring this along with you.

"Shh," I added when I saw her about to complain. "Don't grumble or you know what happens next." That shut her up for good.
