I really don't know where to start from. This book has been a rollercoaster ride. It's a book that I wrote because I wanted to explain Kian's character. I'm not sure I did a good job, but I hope you understand what made him who he was.
At first, as the writer, I hated Kian too but as I came to understand his character very well, I realized he was broken and hurt. I wanted people to see what and who made him this way. I wanted them to stop judging him (altho if I meet him in real life, I'll give him the middle finger yk? Lol that's btw)
As for Jadesola, well. She was placed in the book so she would give him a run for his money. Kian needed someone as hotheaded as him. Someone bossy, cunny, rude and as wicked as him. No soft, submissive woman. He would eat her raw if she was ever like that.
Anyways, Jade might not be my fave character but she really is a match for Kian.
Villains always have a backstory and Kian deserved one. So, I made up one for him. Where a woman would show him a thing or two. He needed to heal and get his own happy ending because it's what everyone deserves, real or fictional.

Now, this entire book wouldn't have been started without God. He was the one that gave me strength when I needed it most. Thank you, Father.♥️

To my friends who were there from the beginning, I would never forget.
Thea (I know you didn't like Kian, lmao but you were the first person that helped me create him and I am forever grateful for that).
Precious (If I didn't mention you, I haven't started my acknowledgments. You were the brain behind helping me show people who the real Kian was, especially helping out with A.M. You helped me with a lot of research and I say a million thank yous.)
Gigi (You hated Kian as well, lol. I know how much you wanted me to give Jadesola, a new lover but you were always supporting me.)
Mide (Mide, you are the backbone of this book. I could go on and on about how you helped out. Whenever I was in a writing slump, you pulled me out of it. You constantly gave me ideas on what to do, and you never complained about my keyboard taps whenever I was typing. I love you.)
Sanna (You're a gem. I will never forget that you helped me out with the casino scene, where Kian said, "I don't want any white staining my black tonight." amongst others. Thank you so much for all your input, I will always remember.)
Danna (Without you, I wouldn't have had the drive to write out my chapter outline. I remember being on the call with you or was it a text? But I do know, you gave me a truckload of ideas. And your constant support is something I will never ever take for granted. Thank you.)
Anastasia (Stacie, believe it or not, you were, a driving force for me to continue. Your constant questions, 'When are you going to update, Nita?" motivated me to push forward. Your ideas were seamless and I loved talking to you about Kian and Jadesola. Thank you for not turning me away.)
Ernie (Thank you for always reading and pitching in ideas. They were very helpful.)
Kosy, Jennifer, Ugoo, Jennie, Pleasant, Nneka, Noble, Ernie, Ambimbola, Onyinye, Wendy, Divlex, Fechi, Chelsea, Barbara, Bint, Biola, Olamide, and Eziukwu (Thank you all for always reading and supporting me in whatever way you can. I really appreciate it.)

MY NEXT LINE OF ACTION?
I'm going to continue writing my new mafia, dark romance book, A Touch of Silence. I don't know when I'm starting but it's definitely this September.
Here's the blurb:
"Your eyes are so beautiful, mia cara. I'll like you to keep them open as I take what's mine."- Zaviero De Santis, The Maestro.

Zaviero
They call me The Maestro. For sinister reasons. You see, corruption and depravity sings in my soul, an unending melody into darkness. As the Don, the Italian underworld is my brutal symphony and my heart? A callous stone that beats only for vengeance. When I am faced with the task of producing an heir, I already know who my bride is. Her. The girl I left behind.
Kaira
He was my best friend, an almost lover. Until a dark tragedy tore us apart. Now, he's back with an ultimatum I had no idea of—get married to him or face the dire consequences. And this time, he's more savage. Dangerous. Wicked. While I tell myself I am done with the blood stained lies, the gory secrets, those silver eyes of his, reveal a different story. Beneath that ruthless exterior is a boy who once held my heart. And now, a naive part of me is drawn to the sensual pleasures he promises. To the fiery touch of sin. His sins.
But in a world where betrayal is currency and love begets weakness, loving him might come at a dark cost—my life.

Romance"You can have me, Kian," I whispered, elation that my plan was coming into play, making my voice low. "Are you sure? Because you don't know, Jade. You," a deep groan escaped him, the rumble of his words vibrating against the arch of my throat, "don...
