No, he is not AFO's son. He is, in fact, Yoichi's descendant. He just inherited the quirk of his very distant uncle. Upon receiving OFA, and therefore doing what AFO's been trying to do for 200+ years, both quirks were finally complete. Also, instead of having black lightning with a red outline, he has black lightning with a green outline. In fact, take everything about AFO's quirk that's red, and replace it with green. The fusion of AFO and OFA brought about some new powers that neither possessed on their own. These powers will be revealed in the story.
