"It's been so long since I last saw him smile like that," Jimin said, sincerely happy to see the positive effect Namsu's presence had on Jungkook.
"Listen, we're not here to play around. If your brother lies one finger on her, he's a dead man."
"Are you always so full of hate?" Jin looked at him without budging. "Or is it just jealousy?"
"I'm trying to protect her."
"Jungkook isn't going to hurt her."
"You have no idea."
Jimin just rolled his eyes, feeling now annoyed.
"Why are you staying here?" Jin immediately changed the subject, genuinely curious about why the brothers were staying in this tiny place, surrounded by gangs, scavengers, and all sorts of other dangers.
"Come." The younger man said and made Jin follow him toward the window.
Jimin and Jungkook's hideout was just at the feet of the bridge Jin and Namsu were all this time looking for, slowly disappearing because of the shadows of the night. They only had to cross the street and they were right at the entrance of the large bridge. The problem was that dozens of armed men were guarding the entrance, where huge gates had been built by them.
"They're always there," Jimin answered the unspoken question. They both sat down in front of each other. Jimin bent forward, elbows on his knees. "In the night, they're just a few. It's our chance to cross that bridge."
Jin thought. It wasn't a bad idea, actually, it was the only way. The less risky one. "Where do you want to go after that?"
"I heard there is the base of the Plurisy not so far from here-" Jin scoffed. "What's so funny?"
"A lot of people are on the Plurisy's side lately," He said, thinking especially of Taehyung and Namjoon a few years ago. But also themselves, they were searching for the militia too.
"It's probably for a good reason, don't you think?"
"I think y'all are good sheep."
This comment made Jimin pissed. There was no longer a smile lingering on his full lips and his eyes were dark, almost scary. "Listen, dude. You know what, you take care of your girl and I take care of my brother. We part ways. I'm not sure I'll have the patience of dealing with you-"
"Relax." Jin cut him off. "We're looking for the Plurisy too."
He paused for a few seconds. "Okay then. We're leaving tonight." Jimin stood up without waiting for an answer. With this mood, he looked like a totally different person.

The men warned the kids about their departure and their plan to escape the town. They didn't have much of a choice but to obey.
"Aren't you a little too sad to leave this place?" Namsu asked Jungkook who was standing in front of the worktop, preparing a bit of food for the both of them. "Jimin did say it was your home."
He just shrugged. "Yes, I am sad." He then turned around to face her, she was sitting on the other side of him on the small middle island. "But I never said it was my home because it was four walls and a roof on top of our heads."
