After we left Daejeon we wandered.
For hours.
Days.
Weeks.
Until a month passed. Our goal was still to find the Plurisy but with the help of Jin's brother, Namjoon. In fact, Namjoon could be the link to the paramilitary group since he was an ex-member. We just had to find him.
We spent a whole month all four of us together. Seokjin, Jungkook, Jimin and me. And it was, surprisingly, fun. We learned more about the brothers and I cared deeply about them now. They never betrayed us again, as they promised. I trusted them. Jin relaxed and even if he was denying it, he started to trust them too.
They were lovely men and I loved to spend my time with all of them. I liked to have friends. I liked to have... a family...
We ended up in Gwangju and we once again wandered in the neighborhoods of the town. We realized it was quiet but also a zombie-busy town. Not a lot of survivors were left here, even the quarantine area of Gwangju had been destroyed. Probably because of the uprising of the people under the influence of the Plurisy.
We were trying to stay quiet while walking through the town. The silent atmosphere was something I hated, it felt as if waiting for the deadliest creature to show up in front of us.
Suddenly, as expected, I violently turned around when I heard footsteps. "JIMIN!" My heart accelerated in fear when an infected woman jumped on his back, pinning him to the ground, ready to take a bite of his nape flesh. Before I could react, Jungkook kicked her with his foot but at the same time, another zombie jumped on him.
I yelped and ran to him, I searched around and found a stick, I took it and continually hit the head of the thing. Jungkook finally kicked it away while whining. I couldn't check if he was okay cause more of them were coming to us.
I heard Jin killing Jimin's attacker. I felt something warm in my hand and was about to throw hands when I realized it was Jin's fingers. "We have to go!"

We found a place to stay and it was safe. No zombies, no dangerous humans. It was just the four of us. Both Jimin and Jungkook seemed fine so I decided to climb on the roof to take a look at the sunset.
I loved sunsets. Sunsets gave me hope. Maybe I was being too poetic and naive as Jin liked to call me, but sunsets were proof to me that endings can be beautiful too.
