We made it to The Luxury Hotel of Daejeon.

We hadn't imagined how bad it looked from the outside. The building was not destroyed, it was rare to see a structure in such a good state nowadays. But the inside was awful, there was water up to Namsu's thighs and it smelt really bad.

The noisy girl ran despite the water slowing her down and went behind the broken old entry counter. "I'd like your best room please!" She said with a pinched voice.

I frowned. "What the hell are you doing." I wasn't sure it was a question but I stayed put in front of her silliness.

"Oh great thank you! ...Mm. Room 314? Left floor up to the third floor? Thank you very much!"

I rolled my eyes and walked past her. "Oh my gosh, you're so weird."

She giggled and followed me.

The place was in such a terrible state. The walls were falling apart because of moisture and all the stairs were blocked because of debris. I noticed the elevator doors were open. The elevator was a floor under so we could jump on top of it to reach the upper floor thanks to emergency ladders. From there, we could climb on the roof or at least on a high balcony to have a better view of the town. Up there, we would make a plan to join the bridge.

I jumped on the balancing elevator first. It wasn't steady and the noises of rust warned us that we had to be quick before it breaks. It hadn't been used for I didn't know how long (probably since the pandemic started) and it was dangerous, but we didn't have any other ways.

I signaled Namsu that she could jump too with a head movement. She was not too heavy, it should hold up for a few seconds.

She did as I said and jumped carefully on the winging thing. I could see she wasn't reassured in her eyes. The silly girl from minutes before was nowhere to be seen. If there was any other way out, she would have taken it, but this was the only way. She was doing it against her will and was scared.

The only thing is that the scales on either side of the walls were so rusted that the moment we put pressure on the steps, they broke. I cursed silently under my breath.

We moved toward the entrance a few feet up. I positioned myself against the wall, placing my shoulder against it for support and I joined my hands together. "Climb. Find a way to bring me up once you're there."

She didn't question and nodded her head when she put her hand on my shoulder and pushed her feet against my hands. To help her, I flexed my knees and pushed her feet up to give her a boost to jump. She climbed and successfully made it up but the second she turned around, a big crack and metallic sound rang in our ears.

My head took seconds to take everything in, I realized only when I couldn't feel anything under my feet. Gravity took me down a bit slower than the metallic structure until my body hit what was under me.
