"Wow......." Stuttered my almost frozen body as I arrived in my hotel (or more like mansion) room. The ocean's sparkle was visible from my window, as the sun blared in on the chocolate brown carpets. Exploring, the place just got better and better; crystal lamps, walk in wardrobes covered in red carpet, spa baths, and not to mention the humongous (and I can't exaggerate how much I mean humongous!) lounge room. Next to the lounge room there was an entire wall that was just glass, looking out on to Miami. Perfection. The massive carpeted area with absolutely nothing in it, was more than tempting to roll all over. I could definitely get used to this, in fact, I think I already was.

Combing my hair, half nervous, I had finally decided on an outfit that I thought Karly would like. A slicked back black loose tee, over dark blue jeans with my high top converses covered my body.
"Oh man." I muttered to myself before quickly shutting the door wit the mirror on it so that I could no longer see myself. I walked nervously out of the bathroom, shaking my arms in disbelief. 'Okay. I can do this. It's only ice-cream!' I thought over and over again while sweating. Cripes. What was wrong with me?! I had seen Karly a thousand times and suddenly this time I get nervous. Unbelievable.

"Hey Karly! How are you?" We greeted each other with big hugs and smiles.
"Oh not too bad. Yourself?"
"Yea I'm okay I guess." there was an awkward silence between us for just seconds (which was still too long.)
"Oh. That's right, did you get those forms done?" Karly questioned with a slight sparkle in her eye.
"Yea. Yea it's all done and dusted. They said that we can leave whenever we like." It was no secret that my voice was a bit shaky
"Then let's get this underway!" Her sparky voice enlightened my spirit.

Vibrant palm trees framed the streets as we strolled along the footpath just opposite the beach.
"Would you look at that?" She almost breathed out of bewilderment
"Gee......" I was shocked for words. Breathtaking. That's everything it was and always will be. "Well, you definitely got the best seat in the country! Best place for a hospital ever!" It took a few seconds for Karly's sweet voice to answer my statement
".....Well.....i guess so. Yea. Definitely amazing." And with that, the short conversation disappeared into thin air almost gracefully as the waves rolled in upon the soft yellow sand, washing all out bad thoughts out with the tide.
1 hour later:
"Want another ice cream? .......Karly?"
"Oh yes. Sorry. What did you say?"
"Do u want another ice cream?" A sneak approached her face almost suddenly.
"Yea. Sure. I would love that." the blissfulness of her toned down voice almost softened the sound of the waves
"Okay. I'll be right back. You want a Have-A-Heart?"
"But of course, my loyal man." we cracked up as I slowly turned away
Returning just minutes later with two ice creams that were quickly melting underneath the spring sunlight, I was relieved to see a smiling Karly, urgently wanting her ice cream. A sigh of relief almost pelted out of my stomach which had been anxiously waiting to see the blonde curls of Karly's beautiful face.

The noisy chants of the hospital rang in our ears and awoke us from the magical place in which we were in.
"Well. Thanks so much for taking me this arvo. I loved it." She half praised me before farewelling me with a huge, warm hug.
"No worries. It was totally worth it. I'll see you round. Probably tomorrow, if not then the day after. I've got a couple of things to do tomorrow so I might not get to see you." I eased into admitting
"No problem. I'll see you round." I liked that about her. She didn't mind about much
"Okay. Take care. Bye." I left whilst exchanging many waves and blow kisses before leaving her room and the hospital for the day. Stepping outside, a rush of warmth came over my body from the beautiful spring sun, accompanied by a cool, gentle breeze that whispered through the palm trees.

Arriving back at the hotel, my tired body longed for a comfy bed. Grabbing a packet of barbecue chips and the TV remote, I sprawled myself across the tan coloured lounge chair. The TV flicked on, and for the rest of the night, I just sat and watched, and thought about how lovely Miami is and how much I loved Karly.
