With Death Everything Changes

As the full moon approaches I had Elena stay in the house so no one could interfere.  I allowed Stefan to visit along with our friends but I banned Damon.  I decided if you can invite a vampire in you must be able to revoke it.  My angelic parent crossed dimensions to find it and brought me the method.  I tried the spell and it worked.  Damon could no longer enter the house.  This means Damon could not feed Elena his blood.  Damon could not fuck things up.

"You're sure she'll be fine and will come back?" Bonnie asked.

"I'm positive Bon.  I'd never risk my twin.  I've already checked every time line and as long as Damon doesn't force feed her his blood then we're fine." I answered as my sister snuggled closer into me.

"I know that I'm coming back and won't stay dead but I can't help but be scared.  The unknown is scary.  And where I'll be for even a short period of time while I'm dead is unknown.  It scares me Lina." Elena admitted.

I could see Jeremy shared that same fear.  Then I realized everyone was looking to me for answers.

"Oh!  Ok um.  Well, there is no heaven and hell.  My kind made that up to keep humanity in line.  So what actually happens is you're reborn.  Some people remember their previous life which is why some know and believe in past lives and reincarnation.  But most don't remember them in their next life.  I honestly believe it's only remembered if it's a tragic life because trauma haunts hence PTSD and such.  However, a meddling witch had to ruin that for supes all over.  Sorry Bon but your ancestor who mind you had every right to be upset and take revenge on her cheating scum of a fiancé.  She did not have that right to create the otherside and force all dead supes to go there.  There is no happiness there just watching this side live.  Though I guess witches found a way to be happy over there by trying to control over here and draw magic from living witches.  Then there are the truly miserable witches who disagree with those witches and they get bullied and tortured.  I guess you could say being stuck over there watching the living with jealousy can be poisonous." I said.

"So my grams is just stuck?  And she'll become like them?" Bonnie asked.

"Or she'll become the bullied.  But you can do something about that dear Bon.  After all it was your ancestor that created it so it's you that can destroy it.  Then the souls will be free to be reborn and the living witches will be all the more powerful for it as there will no longer be dead witches drawing on their power." I answered.

"How do I do that?" Bonnie asked determinedly.

"Emily was looking into that and found a way.  She died before she could do the spell.  I wonder if the ancestors had anything to do with that.  They can't hear this conversation by the way.  Which means you're free to later look in your distant cousin or aunt whatever she is and find the spell.  You have the strength and power to pull it off." I promised.

Bonnie nodded.

"Wouldn't supes come back that we didn't necessarily want to come back?  I didn't phrase that well but you get what I'm saying, right?  Won't that make things messy?" Jeremy asked.

"Yes, they'll be reborn.  Maybe they'll remember their past grudges with certain supes and maybe they won't.  What I do know is they won't come back the same so Mikael won't be an original.  He won't even be a vampire until he dies in his new life.  The blood to turn him will always be there but you can't be born a vampire.  So he'd still be born human.  Once he dies and turns he'll be a regular vampire.  Likewise werewolves will once again have to kill someone to be able to shift.  Only witches would come back with their powers already there." I explained.

That night after everyone fell asleep I met up with my angelic parent.  They assured me they will take care of Elena once she passes so that she doesn't go to the otherside at all or into the reincarnation wheel.  They told me that when she came back she'd be different.  She'd see things more clearly as they'd be stripping her of the doppelganger curse that way she can truly choose Stefan if she so wishes.  They'd also be taking her through time to see things Damon would do or would have done that's already been stopped.  They explained that if she sees him clearly before she falls in love with him then that scenario can be stopped altogether.  I wasn't too worried because if all went well Damon would die from a werewolf bite.  But it was good to know that he wouldn't weasel his way in.
