We had been at our property for a month now and have made little changes here and there. For example, Fleamont didn't want his potion lab in the cottage. His last one had been in the Potter Manor's basement. It kept the potion fumes from reaching into the main manor. That's not possible in a cottage. Well, more like not possible where we live due to being under sea level. So he wanted a separate place for his potion making.
Also, at the behest of the Marauders, we created a quidditch pitch. I went back to their universe and purchased brooms for Bex, Kol, Finn, and myself. James taught us all about the game. We created two teams of four. Rebekah was on a team with her three mates. Bex was chaser, Moony (who didn’t really want to play but was convinced to) was the keeper, Sirius as beater, and James as seeker.
On my team, Reggie was the seeker, Finn as keeper, my bat wielding mate Kol as beater, and I was the chaser. The kids in our pack loved to watch us play. So, there are just little changes such as that.
We were playing today to keep out of Nik's hair as his adopted son was visiting so that they could clear the air and repair their relationship.
"I've done it! I really did it! Now I'm no longer a potion master but also an alchemist master!" Fleamont shouted as he held the philosopher stone above his head.
He looked a bit like a mad scientist. We touched down back on the ground as we approached him.
"So this stone will help my sister live longer?" I asked as I studied it.
"It should." Fleamont stated proudly.
We could hear shouting from our manor and ignored it as we talked. Perhaps we shouldn't have ignored Nik's typical fits as a human shaped hole was now in our manor's wall with Marcel flying through it.
"REBEKAH!" Nik shouted.
Rebekah squealed as she figured out what had angered him and took off into the air. Nik stomped out onto our front porch and stared up at his sister.
"You brought our father to New Orleans because of a boy? You destroyed that city because of a fleeting relationship? Destroyed what we built there?? Vampires lost their lives there. For what? He wasn't even your mate!" Nik shouted, ending in a growl.
Marcel stood and dusted himself off.
"You wouldn't listen to us or hear us! I was no longer a child! Rebekah deserved to feel loved. But you couldn't see it." Marcel argued.
"Nik, I didn’t think of what could happen. You had killed every one of my lovers. I only wanted to be loved. I was frustrated. My therapist helped me see it was my feeling of being caged. Part of myself ripped from me. You know that feeling. We both handled it differently. You handled it being murdery. I tried to fill the space with love." Rebekah shouted down.
"Nik, this happened a long time ago. You had a hand in what happened. We had this talk. We talked it all out.
This hadn't come to light, but it still falls under everything that was discussed that day. I'm not saying to get over it. To you, it's fresh like it just happened because you're only just learning it.
But I am saying that for the sake of our pack, handle it differently. Don't strike out like you usually would and cause division again. It won't just impact the pack but our own relationship. We both know that if you strike out at Rebekah, then your brothers will take her side. And I'll be forced in the middle. Please don't do that to us, mate.
You wanted a way to repair the damage you caused us when you tried to kill me. Let it be this. Talk it out with Rebekah's therapist. Work it out that way. Please." I said.
