Where the curse Began

"Where do we need to go to find Jo?" I asked my crazed mate.

"I can't say for sure she's still in Portland but the Gemini Coven is based in Portland, Oregon.  I'd sat let's start there." Kai answered.

I grabbed both Kai and Kol's hand and walked us to present day Portland, Oregon.  I specifically chose the library so we could access the internet through their computers.  I'd noticed that neither Kol and I had our phones in the prison world.  Which is why we needed the library computers to stalk down one Jo Parker.  However, our stalking proved fruitless as there appeared that Josette Parker had merely vanished.

"Someone from Gemini will know." Kai seethed with a madness in his eyes.

"Who outside of your family is likely to know?" I asked.

"Our best friend I'd wager." Kai answered.

I stalked down the best friend whose address was confirmed by Kai to be on Gemini coven land.  I grabbed my men and brought them to an abandoned warehouse at the edge of city limits.  I left them and walked through lines to the bestie's place. 

"Who are oh wait.  Oh shit." Jocelyn stuttered as she recognized me.

"Jo Jo and Kai.  Must have been cute." I said with a smirk as I grabbed her and we vanished before she could alert her husband.

We landed back in the warehouse and shoved her to the floor.

"Ah little witch.  Your coven messed with beings more powerful then your whole coven combined.  Quite the mistake to make.  And introducing us to Kai here was an even bigger one." Kol said with a dark chuckle.

"Please, I have kids." Jocelyn pleaded with her former bestie.

"Oh she thinks I'll be the one to help her?  Sure thing Joce.  You tell us where Jo is and and said kids get to live.  Deal?" Kai suggested.

"I'd take the deal.  I don't want kids punished for your covens actions but Kai here won't care either way." I told her in a bored tone.

"She's correct.  I did slaughter many of my own siblings, did I not?  Tik tok the clock is counting down the time before the deal runs out." Kai said in a sing song voice.

Was I mated to a sociopath?  Maybe.  But I knew once merged with his twin he'd gain true feelings so I didn't worry he'd turn on me.  Not that he could kill me.  Jocelyn's shout brought me back to attention.

"Jo now goes by the last name Laughlin and attends Whitmore College.  In McKinley, Virginia.  Please my kids." Jocelyn pleads.

Kol then proceeds to drain her. 

"Dying always makes me peckish." Kol stated as he wiped her blood from his mouth.

I made sure she was dead before taking my men to Whitmore College.   Once there I didn't need the internet.  Something was pulling me to an off campus apartment.   I was pulled to the closet in her room.  I found a loose floorboard and under it was a shoe box.  Inside was a knife and I could feel her power inside the knife.

"Perfect.  I'll be needing that." Kai said with a grin.

"Who are you?" I heard a voice from the living room ask. 

Kai and I re-entered the living room.

"I'm Jo's brother, and you?" Kai asked.

"Her roommate.  She's not here right now.  She's at work." The roommate supplied. 

"And where does she work?" I asked pushing my influence powers into the question.

The roomie told us where to find Jo and I made sure the roommate wouldn't remember us as we left.
