With time comes Change

Time flew for Mystic Falls as it tends to do.  Before we knew it, graduation was upon us. Jeremy had been accepted into the University of Louisiana located in Lafayette.

Care Bear was coming with us but taking time off from school before deciding what she wanted.  She, of course, being Care, had always known.  But when life happens and throws eternity at you, it can change things.  Maybe open doors that hadn't existed.  Care wanted time to explore her endless possibilities.

In a turn of sad news, Liz was also joining us as she discovered she had a brain tumor.  New Orleans happens to have an amazing medical program available that could save Liz.  If all goes well with her health, Lafayette has an opening for Liz on their police department.

My twin, Peter, and Tyler would be going their own way.  Originally, my sister had been thinking Atlanta but decided a slower paced city would be better.  Plus, in Savannah, they had Augusta University, which has an excellent medical program available.  My sister still has every intention of becoming a doctor.

Peter and the others were wide-eyed in disbelief at how open magic was in this world.  Sure, the majority of muggles didn't believe it to be real, and yet witch stores existed in the open.  So with that knowledge Peter decided to open his own shop.  He would sell potions from Fleamont, such as Sleekeazy.  Innocent magic such as that to help muggles.  The real deal items for real witches would be sold out of view from muggles. Peter might not have been as good at magic as his friends, but he did have a mind for business.

Tyler was attending Elena's college majoring in political science.  I suppose he'd likely follow his father's footsteps, just not in Mystic Falls.

My sister still didn't want to live forever like the rest of us, but Peter would have a long life as a core witch.  So my angelic parent gave Fleamont the method to create a philosopher stone so that Elena and Tyler could also live longer aside Peter.  Fleamont was still working on that for my sister.

I'd be lying if I didn't say I wasn't worried about my sister being by herself without our entire pack.  I knew she'd have Tyler and Peter to protect her.  It still worried me.  This is why I was currently at her graduation tightly hugging her.

"Lina, I'll be ok.  I promise.  You know you can be at my side within a second.  Same with Peter's Marauders.  We'll be fine." Elena assured me.

Jeremy surprised us all by being the valedictorian of that graduating class.  I knew my baby brother was smart.  Much smarter than many gave him credit for, but even I didn't know he was doing that well.

We went out of town to a fancy restaurant to celebrate our graduates.  We had a reservation since it was a large party.

"So this is it, huh?" Euphemia asked.

"Tomorrow it all changes." I agree.

"Our little Peter is going off on his own." Euphemia sobbed.

"Mia, I'll be all right.  I have my mate and Tyler.  You'll be a floo away." Peter promised.

James, Sirius, and Remus all looked sad.  They thought they'd always be together. They were always Peter's protectors.  Now, their baby marauder was all grown up.  Didn't need them anymore.

"Oh no.  Don't you do it, Prongs." Peter warned, seeing the tears in James' eyes.

"But Wormy-" James started.

"No, Prongs." Peter said sternly.

"He'll be ok.  We'll pop in every day under your cloak so he won't know we're there to make sure he's ok." Sirius whispers to James.

"Good idea, Padfoot." James nods.

Remus sighs as he pinches the bridge of his nose.  Peter gives up.

"Moving on, our property is ready.  I found an old farm.  It's several acres.  I had the big old farmhouse repaired and modernized slightly.  It still has the old-world charm.  Modernized means AC added, laundry machines added, etc.  I don’t mean millennial grey, modern fireplace, modern light fixtures type of modernization." Rebekah sniffed.

"I trust you." I said with a laugh.

"Enough cottages were built for the pack.  Along with one for my mate James parents.  A big enough cottage was built for Jenna and Mason with their growing family.

Jeremy has his own with Anna so he can have independence.  Care has her own with Regulus and her mum.  Though if all goes well with Liz, I have a small unit built for her if she wants her own space eventually.

Finally,  there's a guest house for Elena or anyone else who might visit. All of that and still plenty of space for the pack to run." Rebekah explained.

"Sirius showed us how his family hides their manor from muggle eyes, and we did that around our entire property.  Even if we're on the outskirts of town, I don't want to chance someone seeing a human changing to a wolf." James said.

"I set up a floo connection between your manor here and your new one.  So we can just walk through your fireplace into the new manor.  No work needed to move." Fleamont said.

"Meanwhile, pack members will make the drive with our vehicles to the new property." Nik said.

"Elena, honey, we also set it up so you can floo to your new home in Savannah with Peter and Tyler." Euphemia said.

"Thank you, Mia." Elena said.

"Along with a floo connecting you to the Lafayette property that way Tyler can come run with the pack and have the safe space to run in.  Not to mention, simply visit all of us." Fleamont added.

"That's great.  Thank you, Monty." Tyler said while looking relieved.

The next day was a sad one as everyone hugged Elena, Peter, and Tyler as they went through the fireplace to their new home.  Regulus took his future MIL through the fireplace as she was scared to try on her own.

"I feel like we're forgetting something or someone." Nik pondered.

Nik and I were the only ones left to use the floo.

"STEFAN!" I shouted.

"Oh, that's right.  The bloody wanker is still in the dungeon. I guess I'll go compell him to forget us all and let him go." Nik said before vamping down into the basement.

He came up with a still healthy looking Stefan.  While we may have forgotten him, the house elves, thankfully or regretfully hadn't so he was still well fed.

"You will forget vampires exist.  You will forget all about the supernatural." Nik compelled before shoving Stefan out the door.

Nik locked the door, and then we stepped up to the fireplace.

"Mikaelson Manor!" I shouted before throwing the floo powder.

Nik and I entered together and stepped out and into our new home.

"Home sweet home." I said.
