Olivia pulled her boyfriend from the room before things got worse. His face was red and hot, and his hands were balled into fists by his side.
"Grab your stuff." Olivia whispered, as she gave her boyfriend a shove out of the kitchen door and into the living room.
"Liv, you aren't going to fight this? He just kicked you out of your family! That man is supposed to be your step-father, but instead he's treating you like some disfigured monster he's ashamed of! We need to-"
"Shut up, Dominick!" Olivia hissed, as she tossed him his jacket.
"Olivia-"
"If you hadn't yelled at him and drawn attention to us, then I would still have been invited here for Christmas. I would still be my mother's daughter, even if she doesn't love me or want me... she'd still be my mother. Now I'm nothing to her or this fucked up family. So please, stop it and take me home." Olivia huffed as hot tears slipped down her cheeks.
She swung open the front door and stomped out as Dominick pulled off his jacket. He turned to look back at the kitchen and saw Serena standing there with tears on her cheeks.
"Mrs. Worth-" Dominick started, but Serena interrupted him when she shook her head.
"Please leave my house. Before things get worse, which they will if you don't leave. Now."
"Do you even care about your child?" Dominick frowned.
"She's an adult, not a child. I have a husband and two children in there that need me. She can take care of herself. Leave, now."
Dominick walked out of the open front door before slamming it shut behind him. He walked down the path and climbed into the car before looking over at Liv.
"Babe-"
"Please don't talk to me right now. I'm angry and so very sad. Just take me home before I explode, Dominick."

The fight at Thanksgiving really put a toll on Olivia and Dominick's relationship. They didn't speak for a while afterwards, since Olivia was so angry and upset about everything that had gone down.
In early December, classes came to an end for the semester. The couple hadn't spoken for over two weeks. The only reason they spoke was because they bumped into each other at the cafe on campus.
"Liv." Dominick breathed when he saw his girlfriend. He had the hardest time stopping himself from pulling her close and kissing her.
"Hey, Dom. Uh, how are you?" Olivia asked awkwardly. She missed him like crazy, but was still so upset about Thanksgiving that she hadn't gotten up the courage to call him.
"I'm fine, just getting some coffee before heading out to do some Christmas shopping. You?"
"I just want coffee. My shopping is done."
"What are your plans for Christmas?" Dominick mused, as he stepped closer to Olivia since a few additional customers had joined the line.
"I don't have any... after the fight on Thanksgiving, I was uninvited to anything having to do with my family. No more Christmas, Easter, or Thanksgiving. Rick even made me pay them back, in full, for helping me out with my car." Olivia sighed.
"Babe, I'm sorry that I messed everything up." Dominick whispered as he gently brushed a piece of hair from her neck.
Olivia drew in a sharp breath, since she hadn't been touched by her boyfriend in two weeks. She missed the soft touches, kisses, and hugs.
"It was going to happen eventually. I'm just glad it happened before I had more invested in my family. Like, I'm glad it happened before I had kids that loved my mom..." Olivia trailed off. She stepped up to order before looking at Dominick.
"What?" He asked.
"I'll buy you some coffee." She spoke, and Dominick smiled before placing his order.

The couple settled down at a table together before catching up. Both had passed their exams, but other than that, there wasn't much that had been missed. Minus each other.
"Do you want to come to Christmas with my family?" Dominick asked, as he held Olivia's hand. They had discussed what had happened, and it seemed like everything was better now.
"Babe, Christmas is a family holiday."
"Okay, well, if you came, then I'd have one more person talking to me. My father still hates me, so if you were there, then at least I can focus on you." Dominick smiled as he tugged Olivia closer. He kissed her lips softly for the first time in weeks, and it made the tension in their bodies both fade.
"Are you sure that your mother would want me there? I feel like she may be super protective of the holiday and just celebrating with you, your sisters, and Mia."
Dominick nodded before smiling at his girlfriend.
"Liv, she's been asking about you. I called her the night of the fight, and she said you'd come back. That we were meant to be together, so we'd make it through this rough patch and get back on track. She even said she was praying for us, and for you."
"For me? I don't want her to waste her prayers on me..." Olivia trailed off.
"She loves you, Liv. Just like I do. So please, join us for the holiday."
"I'd love that, thanks."

Olivia and Dominick planned to meet up at the mall once Olivia ran an errand she had been putting off. Olivia drove out to her mother's house with gifts in the backseat for her mother and siblings, even if Ella and Gavin didn't need to be spoiled more.
Luckily, Rick nor the kids were there, so Olivia only had to face her mother. She pulled into the driveway and grabbed the box of gifts before walking up the path and ringing the doorbell.
"Hello?" Serena asked as she opened the door.
"Hey, Mom. Uh, I know that I'm not allowed to be here anymore, but I wanted to give you the gifts that I had bought."
"Rick will know they are from you and toss them out." Serena sighed.
"I know, so that is why I put Aunt Ida's name on them. She's old and told me she wouldn't be able to send gifts this year. So they are from her." Olivia said with a shaky smile.
"About Thanksgiving-"
"It was going to happen eventually, Mom. Rick hated the fact that you had a child, and that is why he hasn't treated me like one of his own. The whole rape thing doesn't help either."
"He loves-"
"Mom, don't lie for him. He doesn't love me, and neither do Ella and Gavin. The only person who truly loves me is Dominick. He's the love of my life and I hope when we get married you can pull yourself away from Rick for a few hours to see me marry the love of my life."
