Chapter 3: The Brokenhearted

Sammie stands in front of the bathroom door, blocking Caleb's view of Zoe and Brian making out.

Caleb: What's going on, Sammie?

Sammie: This is going to be hard to explain, but-

Caleb: But what?

Sammie: I hope you will not get mad at me to say this.

Caleb: Promised.

Sammie: Brian and Zoe are in together.

Caleb: What?! No....you're lying! She wouldn't do that!

Caleb pushes past Sammie to enter the bathroom, but stops dead in his tracks when he spots Brian and Zoe furiously kissing against the wall.

Caleb: No! It....it can't be.

Brian and Zoe stop kissing to turn to a shocked Caleb with Sammie by his side.

Caleb: Tell me this is some misunderstanding.

Sammie: Doesn't look like one to me.

Brian: Crap! You weren't supposed to see this.

Zoe: Caleb, I-I'm sorry.

Caleb: After everything, how-how could you?

Caleb steps backward and trails off, his voice on the urge of cracking.

Caleb: It's over, Zoe.

As Caleb walks out of the bathroom, he turns to Sammie.

Caleb: Thanks for the heads up, Sammie. You're good in my book.

Sammie: Don't mention it, I just wish this didn't happen.

After taking one long glance at the bathroom, Caleb storms outside as Sammie watches.

Sammie: Caleb....

Brian gloats.

Brian: Good riddance.

Sammie turns to Brian and Zoe.

Sammie: Seriously?!

Zoe: We were kind of the middle of something, before you interrupted.

Sammie: Well pardon me then! I can't believe you....Brian, how could you just throw away from your friendship like that? Caleb's your best bud and you betrayed him.

Brian: It's one girl, Sammie. He'll get over it.

Sammie: So you'd forgive him if he stole your girl? And Zoe, You are such an ass(beeping) to me!

Zoe: Excuse me?!

Sammie: I ain't no bitch for it, Zoe. Caleb loves you.

Brian: Time for you to go, Sammie.

Zoe: Yeah, go comfort that washed up excuse of a football player. I found someone better.

Brian: Now where we we?

Zoe slams the door in Sammie's face, before she turns.

Sammie: Son of a bitch!

Sammie heads outside to look for Caleb, but is unable to find him.

Sammie: Caleb! Caleb! Damn it! Caleb!

Several of Sammie's classmates run up to her.

Maria: Sammie? What happened? Caleb just took off.

Sammie: He and I justed walked in on Zoe and Brian making out.

Emma: No! Why would she cheat on Caleb?
