Saturday evening....

It's finally the night of the homecoming dance! Sammie and the guys in her group are gathered in her room, getting ready.

Caleb: Thanks again for having all of us over here, Sammie. But you sure it's not weird getting ready with a bunch of guys?

Sammie: It's fine. Emma wanted to get ready with the girls.

Michael: So....what's the story with you and Emma?

Sammie: The 'story'?

Michael: We all know you're going to homecoming together, but what else? Any juicy details?

Sammie: Well Emma and I are hopefully going to kiss tonight! I know I first met her since day one, but we're not official or anything, but...I really like her, and she really seems to like me.

Aiden: Called it!

Michael: Yeah, yeah. You and everyone else at Berry High.

Sammie: Was it really that obvious?

Michael: You two were attached at the hip from day one.

Caleb: Besides, I saw the look in your eyes when she asked me out.

Sammie: This isn't weird for you, is it?

Caleb: Of course not! I'm glad she's found someone.

Sammie's dad opens the door and pokes his head in.

Scott: Hey sorry to interrupt, but I just got a call from Mr. Flores, and apparently the girls are on their way, so you'd better finish getting ready.

Luis: Is there a bathroom I could change in?

Scott: Sure, right this way.

A few minutes later....

Luis: Okay, who's up next?

Michael: I'll go.

Sammie: Hey now. Nice suit, Luis.

Luis: Glad you think so. Oh, and thanks again for including me in your homecoming group. I know we're not that close.

Sammie: Not a problem. It's going to be fun.

Michael appears at the door.

Michael: Okay, bathroom's free.

Aiden: I guess I'll go next.

Caleb: Michael, I must say, I never thought I'd live to see you dressed up like this.

Michael: I figured, well, I'm going, so I might as well do it right. Even if I am flying solo tonight. I tried to get Morgan to come as my date, but she wasn't too keen on the idea.

Sammie: Yeah, and I know you weren't either. But, for what it's worth, I think I speak for all of us when I say we're glad to have you along.

Aiden: Your turn, Caleb.

Caleb: Be back in a minute.

Luis: Aiden, I'm warning you. Myra's like a sister to me. If you do anything to hurt her--

Aiden: Relax, Luis. We're just going as friends. And frankly, I'm more scared of her than I am of you.

Luis: As you should be.

Caleb: Okay, I'm back.

Sammie: That suit looks great on you, Caleb.

Caleb: Tell that to Maria. She's the one who picked it out.

Sammie: So she's an type-A about her date as she is about everything else, then?

Caleb: Yeah, but it's not so bad for a friend date. I didn't have to do any of the work. Now hurry up and get changed, Sammie. The girls are gonna be here any minute!
