Friday after school, in the science lab....
Sammie and her friends gather around Michael, listening to his plan for revenge.
Sammie: You want to prank Hearst tonight?
Michael: Hear me out. What I was at Hearst, they were all forced on one thing. So tonight, we're going to steal their beloved spirit stick.
Sammie: Steal the spirit stick? But stealing is wrong!
Emma: I'm with Sammie! This isn't right.
Michael: Don't think of it as stealing. We're just borrowing the stick. Besides, don't you want to see the look on their faces when they realize that their precious spirit stick is gone?
Sammie: But we'll return it, right?
Michael: Eventually. It's just a harmless prank. It's not like they haven't done much worse to us.
Aiden: So what's the deal with the spirit stick?
Mia: Hearst has a tradition of lugging this pointed stick around to all their football games and practices. It's supposedly the source of their football power.
Julian: But the biggest thing is that the stick never touched the ground. If it does, that's ten years of bad luck.
Caleb: I don't buy this whole spooky magic, but if Hearst does....Let's do this.
Maria: But wait! What if they catch us? Won't we get into trouble?
Julian: It's really no big deal. It's tradition for Berry and Hearst to prank each other around homecoming.
Mia: Yeah, both schools turn a blind eye to these harmless pranks. It's when they escalate to vandalism, like with Ollie, that it becomes a problem.
Sammie: Well if that's the case, I'm in. What's the plan, Michael?
Michael: The seven of us will sneak into Hearst, bypass security, grab the spirit stick, and hightail it out of there before anyone can say 'Ocean's Eleven'.
Emma: Wait. Seven? But there's eight of us here.
Michael: There's no way Mia's hobbing around Hearst on crutches. I've asked her here for another reason. Mia, you did bring it, right?
Mia: Of course. I put it in my cheer locker this morning. Follow me.
Sammie follow Mia and Michael to the locker room. She hands her a green and white letterman jacket.
Mia: I borrowed one of Max's spare jacket for you. The only way you'll blend in at Hearst is if you look the part.
Michael: You'll ready be a huge help to the plan if you wore that.
Mia: Go ahead, try it on Sammie!
Sammie shakes her head and giving back to the outfit to Mia.
Sammie: There's no way I'm covering up Berry spirit! Besides, I doubt they'll even notice a thing.
Michael: That's fine. We'll just adjust the plan.
Mia: If you're sure.
Sammie: Yeah, I'm ready. Let's do this!
Later that night....
Julian drives his SUV around to the front of the school to pick Sammie and her friends up.
Julian: I've got just enough room for everyone to fit, but....it's gonna be a little cramped for the two in the very back. My football gear had to go somewhere. So enjoy a very cozy ride.
