l/n y/n
The answer was obvious; saddening and obvious. The two were shunned out, everyone in the building acting as if they had not a single clue what the two were on about. "Angels? Is that the new thing with kids these days? Geez... You two go away already.". Saiki was mad. He is a usually annoyed person, but to shun y/n, an ex-angel, out, and to accuse them of being crazy, Saiki was definitely mad."I don't know what you expected." y/n sighed, dragging her spoon round and round her cup of tea. The two were located at a cafe that y/n wanted to work yes. Students of P.K were originally not permitted to work, however, an incident between Mera and Saiki changed that factor. The coffee jellies were just too good.
It was a simple cafe, not too far away from school and from Saiki's house, in which it was decided that she would locate herself there for the time being. The parents had re-met the girl the day she was found in the starry outer space. Kuniharu almost fainted, seeing a random, helpless girl now on his couch, in his house.
However, when time settled in, so did the realisation. The Saiki parents, and even Kuusuke had remembered who y/n was! It was a miracle! Well of course, Kuusuke would've found out the identity of the mysterious girl one way or another.
'Don't be so nervous. They'll be able to tell.' Saiki criticised, placing a gentle hand on her leg that was bouncing rapidly up and down. "I've never been this nervous before. Why am I so nervous? I used to be to cool... and confident... and outgoing..." Before she could start listing other past qualities, Saiki shoved a spoonful of his coffee jelly in her mouth.
'You'll be fine. You are still cool, and confident, and outgoing. And if you believe you are not, you can learn to be again.' He assured. Usually he would've took a jab at her, or anyone in general, but he had never seen a person so nervous and jittery. "You're right. You're totally right!" It was evident y/n's language had completely changed. She used to be more eloquently spoken, easy going, and relaxed, but now, she was a teenager. Oddly enough, that felt so much more comforting.
y/n will stutter, she will trip on her words and her feet, she will throw insults, hurt someone, get hurt, and will so much more, and none of it would ever be superficial. "Wow that coffee jelly is actually really nice..." She muttered, leaning over to grab more of the psychic's dessert.
A middle-aged woman came walking towards the two, casual clothing and a brown apron; their uniform. "l/n?" Her voice rang. Immediately, y/n's grip tightened on the spoon that was ready to steal more of the coffee jelly. 'Hey. You got this. You couldn't be worse than Nendou.' Saiki shrugged. Taking in his fact, y/n took a deep breath and stood from her seat. "Yes! That's me.".
Time seemingly flew by, as the boy waited patiently for the other. He had to restrain from himself purchasing anymore coffee jellies. He was here for one thing, and one thing only, y/n. But... a treat or two couldn't hurt right?
Yes. Yes it could. Stop it Saiki, you're going to get cavities.
Coming back in from the back, y/n wore a beaming smile and shaky hands. Saiki didn't even have to read her mind to know the outcome. "Are you able to start this Saturday?" The woman asked, smiling at how excited she was. "Yes I am! Thank you very much again. I'll see you then!" y/n bowed repeatedly, slowly dragging her boyfriend out of the store so she could start her squeal fest. Saiki was mentally preparing.
"Oh! My! G*D!" y/n began hitting his arm, one hand after the other. "OHMYG*DOHMYG*DOHMYG*D!" She was running out of breath at that point. 'Are you seriously that excited over a minimum wage job?' He chuckled lightly, rubbing his arm. He was never hurt, nor would he ever be, but Saiki took the initiative to act more 'human' himself. Perhaps if he could subtly act normal, maybe y/n could feel normal too.
"Uh, you do not understand Kusuo, I got a job! My job! Something I did on my own-" - 'I helped you write your resume.' - "I feel like I'm slowly getting control of my own life. I'm just, excited to see where this goes. No more lies, no more superficial emotions and actions, just you, and me, and the world!" She laughed. Ah, that was the one thing that never changed. 'Yeah. No more lies.'.
That was something he'd have to get back to later.
