Season 4 Episode end of 9-15
Amelia's POV
The past few weeks have gone by in a blur.
We celebrated New Year's Eve and Kelly's 30th birthday.
Kelly had informed me once he was off suspension, that Chief Boden was being framed for a crime that he didn't commit. We've all been rallying for him, but I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through. But with the accusations, Chief Boden was asked to take a furlough, which meant that Patterson was acting as Chief until further notice. I'm happy for Kelly because he's back to being Lieutenant, but this Patterson guy is no good.
Benny had left town already. Since I had never met him before, it was great to see where Kelly came from. I could tell he was a little shocked at meeting Mason and me, but in the short time he's been here he's grown so close to Mason. Benny spending time with Mason has given me a little break which has allowed me to focus on opening the restaurant and all my other businesses.
I had found a really good sitter in the neighborhood who was so good to Mason, so I called her up to watch him tonight.
I was currently at Molly's with Kelly and the rest of the firehouse, except for Sylvie who had a hot date. After hearing the good news about Chief Boden's charges being dropped we all wanted to get together to celebrate. Mason was at home with Benny, hopefully asleep.
"Hey, guys, hey!" Hermann calls when Chief Boden and Donna walk through the front doors of Molly's. I set down my beer, clapping slowly along with Gabby and the guys. "How ya feeling, Chief?" Matt asks, slapping Chief Boden on the back. "Like Lazarus, quite frankly," Letting out a chuckle, I raise my beer to Chief Boden when he meets my eye. "Yeah, you're looking that old," Kelly jokes to the Chief who lets out a laugh, running up and softly tapping Kelly in the stomach.
"I'll show you old."
Hermann offers a couple of beers to him and Donna, which he grabs before turning to Peterson. "Hey, I heard what you did for me," Chief Boden tells him, "I want you to know I feel very touched," I guess it turns out Patterson wasn't such a bad guy after all. Only took a couple of months for him to finally realize how special House 51 is.
"I was just keeping your seat warm."
"And congratulations on bugles...Chief."
Patterson laughs. "All I can say is, when Firehouse 51 plays 90 in softball this summer, you better bring it," Letting out a laugh, I shake my head. "Yeah, no. I don't do sports," I chime in, really hoping that I wouldn't have to participate since I'm not a part of the firehouse.
"Guys like Riddle tend to have nine lives in the CFD, so keep an eye open," Chief Boden nods, "I will," He tells Peterson before turning to Kelly. "And as my first official duty returning as Chief to Firehouse 51...Kelly Severide, I would like for you to be my squad Lieutenant, once again," I reach up and squeeze his arm that is wrapped over my shoulder. "If that's okay with you," Kelly's head falls back in relief, letting out a deep breath, dropping his arm from around me to hug Chief Boden. "Welcome back, Lieu," Matt calls as everyone cheers.
"Bring out the whiskey, let's get drunk."
"Congratulations, baby," I cheer once Kelly and I are alone, wrapping my arms around his neck as I tug him to me. "I know how much you wanted this," I mumble as I kiss his lips repeatedly. He lets out a laugh, my arms dropping from his neck. "I think we should celebrate tonight," I mumble into his ear once I brought him down to my height causing Kelly's breath to hitch, his hands moving to grip my hips. Hearing him groan, he sets his forehead against mine, "Don't hold out on me." I let out a laugh, pushing his face away from mine.
