Season 9 No Specific Episode

Kelly's POV

The hospital room is quiet aside from the steady beeping of the monitor tracking Mia's heartbeat. It's been a few hours since we've been at the hospital. The nurses took the baby to run all the tests she needed, which took about an hour.

Mia had fed her for a while and pumped whatever was left.

Our baby girl lay curled up in a ball on my bare chest, sleeping soundly. Mia was also curled up on her side, knees tucked to her chest, knocked out in a deep sleep. I gently ran my fingers over the baby's back which was covered by her pink onesie. She was honestly a beautiful baby. Light brown hair, slightly tanned skin, a cute button nose, and pouty pink lips.

"Knock, knock," I hear Sylvie's voice call out softly, rapping on the hospital room door before peeking her head in. "Hey," She coos, seeing the baby sleeping on my chest. I nod in greeting, gesturing with my head to Mia who is still sound asleep. Oh, she mouths, holding her hands up. "The boys have been asking for you. I wanted to check first to see if they could come in," Nodding, I stand, cradling the baby to my chest as I make my way to the door. Peering around the door frame, I see the boys sitting impatiently on the floor in front of the door. "Hey, boys," Their heads snap up, grinning, jumping to their feet. "Dad!" They shout, but I shush them gently. "Hey, so, here's the deal," I tell them, tightening my grip on the baby as I kneel to their height. "Mom and sissy are still sleeping, so we have to be very quiet, okay?"

I hold the door open for the boys, softly shutting it behind us and sitting in the chair I was previously in.

"Meet your little sister, guys," I mumble to them, shifting the baby so she's resting flat on her back in my arms, my hands bracing her head. "Wow," I hear the boys mumble in awe, eyes wide as they gaze down at the baby. "Can I touch her?" Mason asks, holding a hesitant hand over her face.

"Yeah, bud, but be super gentle."

Mason takes a finger and runs it softly down the bridge of her nose.

Andy gently rubs the back of her hand.

Tyler places a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Wow," A soft voice murmurs, groggy and full of sleep, "what a sight for sore eyes," Glancing up from the kids, I see Mia up and awake, phone out snapping a picture. "Mom!" The boys whisper-shout, eyeing me, then jumping over and onto the hospital bed. "Hi, my babies," She grins, wrapping them all in a hug. "Did you meet sissy?" Mia asks the boys once they are released from the hug. "Yeah," They grin. "She's pretty," Tyler mumbles bashfully then stuffing his face into Mia's chest. I watch on in adoration of my little family. "C'mon Sylvie," I grin, nodding my head in Mia's direction as I move over to set the baby in her arms. "I'm gonna go grab everyone," I cup Mia's head, placing a couple of kisses on her forehead before leaving the room.

"Aye, Severide!" Stella announces, gaining everyone's attention as I near them. "How are Mia and the baby?" Matt asks, pulling me into a quick hug. "They're great," I grin, shaking hands with most of the guys. "C'mon back," I wave, turning around to head back into the hospital room.

"You've got some visitors," I announce after opening the door, moving aside to let everyone in and shutting the door behind them.

"Okay," Sylvie announces, "I've been patient, but I'm dying! What's her name?" Grinning, I look at Mia who meets my eyes over the boys, sending me a soft smile and a nod. "Meet Noa Shay Severide," I can tell my eyes are a little glassy as I look at my second family, seeing all types of looks cross their face. "Beautiful," Herrmann smiles while wrapping his arm around Cindy...
