I stared intensely at the paper placed in front of me, the math problems that were presented confused me. I glanced up to see everyone focused.- not a sound was made, only the sound of pencils scratching papers. Everyone seemed obedient in this class, especially the boys.

Maybe it's because the teacher, she was youthful and beautiful. Beautiful is enough to keep the boys in line.

I looked back to my paper with a discomfort look. Was I the only one who didn't get anything. The farthest I got was my name and date.

I released a sigh as I slouched back in my seat, waiting out the clock. It's not like I needed to do this work, I was only there to protect Adrian.

Maybe Marlin could do something to get the teachers to overlook my grades.

I looked to my side where Adrian was seated. He was focused on his work, his pencil was moving smoothing across the paper. Damn he's smart, he might be a troublesome brat but he is an excellent student. Very efficient.

I began to stare at the male, the more my eyes were one him more of his features stood out to me. His lashes were long and beautiful. He had a nice side profile. His skin was creamy like a soft colored mocha coffee.

Adrian peeked at me "Why are you staring, do your work" he nudged his head to my paper before returning his attention to his. I huffed as I looked back to my paper.

Still didn't get it.

"What was your grade?" Lola had her arm interlocked with Adrian's as they walked. I walked behind them, looking like a third wheel to their friendship.

"96, as expected" Adrian walked with his head high with pride. "Lucky, the highest I ever get in math is a 59" Lola whined before looking back at me, "and you?"

For the first time I felt embarrassed about something so pointless "I- um" I rubbed the back of my neck "I didn't actually do the test" I tried to laugh off the embarrassment I felt.

I looked to Adrian who of course was looking back. At that moment I found it hard to make eye contact with him "Damn really? Such a rebel" Lola chirped removing her arm from Adrian and moved to my side "Were you trying to make a point to the teacher or something?"

"Yeah, of course" I lied rubbing the back of my neck again as Lola touched the side of my arm. Adrian frowned at me as he walked faster.

I raised a brow before looking back at Lola "Do you workout? You feel like you have some muscle" she began to touch my arm more. I had a jacket on so my figure and muscles weren't noticeable, even gym class I kept a sweatshirt on or loose long sleeves.

I smirked as I flex my arm "Heck yeah, my job keeps me in shape" I took any chance I had to show off my body, why wouldn't I? I was proud.

Adrian turned around as he grabbed my hand "Let's go to the bathroom" he didn't sound to happy. "Oh yay I'll come" Lola clapped her hands.

Into the mens bathroom?

"No, see you later" Adrian's voice was stern as he dragged me to the nearest bathroom. "Hey why were you so cold to her?" I frowned.

"Do you like her?" Adrian got straight to the point. I stared at him with confusion before giving a smirky smile "What if I do?" I leaned against the wall with my arms crossed.

Adrian seemed annoyed- why not poke the bear.

It was clear he didn't like my words, he looked like a fireball of jealousy. It was cute. "Don't! She's my friend! Like anyone but her!" He snapped.

"Does it bother you that I might be interested in her?" I kept my eyes on him, I wanted to drag his reasoning out.

"Yes! You might hurt her! She's- you can't.. not her so.. pick someone else" Adrian's voice turned into a murmur. I stopped leaning against the wall, walking towards him as he backed up. Once he was against the wall I leaned over.
