Chapter 5 :The Confession

Ethan's POV

Okay, okay I got this.

I already gave the supplies sheets to Gamma Khalil to check, Beta Trov is already on the main training grounds overseeing them, and Delta Gen is on her way to see the problems at the northeast section. 

Now I have done everything I need to today, I can finally talk to my mate. I walked down the stairs of the pack house, greeted a few people and made my way outside. I when to the side of the large building and walked up to the tree and yelled,"Ava!!"

I saw her spread her beautiful wings of dark brown feathers that shimmer in the sunlight. She flew down and crossed her arms and said in an annoyed tone,"What?"

Ava's hair was pulled up into a ponytail in the back of her head, she was sweating, I assume from working out. She was wearing a sports top and shorts, the way it was revealing her very cute amount of cleavage made me and my wolf squirm.

Okay I can do this, I said,"Can we talk for a bit?"

 Ava said,"Sure." She retracted her wings and we started to walk together.

We walked with out a place in mind, but we began heading in the direction of the shore line. We were at the beach, the sand was in our sandals and the smell of salt was in the air.

I took a deep breath and said,"What do you know about mates?"

Ava thought about it and said,"Their like soulmates right? I remember that werewolves cherish them with their lives."

"Yeah, its like that, you would want to hold on to them forever and never let go."

She laughed, I'd never seen her laugh before. It was a small one but it lighten my stress, I know that I love her but I think I also love Snow to, it makes my head hurt. 

I asked,"Do your species have something like that?"

As we look out into the sea, she said,"We have pods, usually with more than two people, these people are people that you can choose to be your lover. If you both like each other a lot, a bond is formed and it is an unbreakable one."

"Okay,"I said, I will not be one of those Alpha's that are unable to speak clearly with their mates, I want to love her,"I have a confession to make."

She turned and looked at me, the sun was lowering I noticed. I said,"You are my mate Ava."

She froze, she looked like she had stopped breathing, I said"That is one of the reasons I wanted to keep you here, I know it was selfish but I wanted to tell you this. I love you !!" I ended up shouting in the wind.

Ava said in a small voice,"But you don't even know me."

I took one of her hands, it sent shivers up my arm, I said in the most serious tone I could do,"I want to get to know you. I want to help you in any way I can. You don't have to accept me, I won't force you to but I just want you to know that I care about you, regardless of this mate bond."

Something in her eyes sparkled, she quickly covered her mouth and looked away. I wasn't going to lie but I felt like I was about to die. My wolf clawing at me.

She spoke softly, her voice like a goddess,"I'll think about it."

She spread her wings and flew upwards and flew back.

I was speechless.

I could contain my excitement, I was grinning happily. I shout into the air,"YES!!"

Ava's POV

Wh-wh-what, was that?

I felt my face burning up as I flew around branches. 

This can't be happening, it really can't. When he said he cared about me, I felt our bond formed. Ohhhh crap, we're now actually part of a pod now. Together.

I got to my tree house, I flew on to my bed and giggled a bit. Oh no, is this because of this bond now? I am going to start to feel for him now...

I took off my hair tie and left my hair fall out on the pillow. I felt my head, I was burning up now. It confirmed it.

F*ck, how am I supose to love a werewolf? And I also need to get back to find Klyrax and the others to save everyone...

I looked up at the sky, it was now dark out. The star shined brightly, piercing through the leaf cover. I wandered my thoughts as I began to fall asleep.
