Chapter 13 : The Aftermath [The End]

Ava's POV

We were walking to the cave to meet the others, the avain's were still weary about Ethan's pack but followed probably out of fear. The kids from my village flew ahead to tell the others about the wolves. The mecrenaries left as soon as we let them go and took all the riches the slave traders had, which I was fine with.  Klyrax was riding a wolf, and they both seem to have a good time. The pack was also talking around exictedly, which I assume is becuase that was their first battle.

I was flying above to search through the crowd to find my parents. Then I saw mom, I flew down as fast as I could and hugged her tightly, I said,"Mom!!"

She looked with shock and debrief,"Ava?"

Her clothes were torn up, her hair covered in dirt and grim and had scratches everywhere. She started to cry and I did to as we hugged each other as hard as we could. The wolves around us parted ways looking proud. She saw the condition I was in and said with concern,"Your leg!!"

I smiled a bit,"It's in a cast but it'll heal within a few days don't worry. And you by the way look terrible."

She smiled but had this look of sadness in her eyes. I asked the question I have been not looking forward to,"Do you know what happened to dad?"

She had a tear fall and said quietly,"I saw him get killed."

This had been a lingering thought in my mind but I held out hope, I quietly hugged her tighly, even if he was a bit annoying I still loved my dad and are going to miss him.

We started to walk again but heard shoving and saw both a concerned Ethan and Snow come out. 

Snow was leaning against Ethan for support, huffing,"Wha-what happened?"

I rushed to help Snow and said with concerned,"You shouldn't be moving at all."

Snow said breathing heaviely,"I'm a demigod remember? Tough as stone." I rolled my eyes.

Ethan said,"We felt happiness and sadness, what happened?"

I said to my confused mom,"The white haired one is Snow and the other is Ethan. While I was gone I found my pod, sooo yay?"My mom eyes widen with shock.

Ethan and Snow scrambled to looked proper and Ethan said,"Nice to meet you, uhh miss?"

Snow said,"Yep nice to meet you."

My mom now had this amused look on her face she said,"It's nice to meet you both, I hope you two will be good to my daughter."

I laughed and said,"Ethan knocked me out like 3 times."

He nervously said,"Uhhh no I didn't?"

My mom whispered to me,"They seem at the very least fun people." I smiled at her.

We got to the cave entrance where the children were waiting, their were some cheerfully reunions. But some had noone embrace. 

They other families immediately took those in and grieved with them. Klyrax walked to us looking somber. He didn't have to say anything as I hugged him, silent tears fell from his eyes.

A Few Days Later

Ethan shouted,"As my blood, the blood of our pack mixes with Ava, we become one!!"

The crowd of wolves and avains cheered in front of the pack house. The avains are currently staying the Ethan's pack for the time being as we need time to rebuild the village.

Something opened in my mind and I tried to navigate it,"Yayy!!Congrats Alpha!! Who stole my food?"

Ethan said to me,"Now your able to mindlink with the pack and us."

Snow and Ethan held my hands and I hugged both of them, the crowed cheer even louder.

Some Time Later

There was an after party after the ceremony, it was about sunset now, I was talking idly with Gen and Kahlil when Klyrax came up to me. Gen and Kahlil left so I can talk with him alone.

He said,"Since your staying here I assume I won't see you again?" He looked a bit sad. 

I hugged him  and said,"Of course I'm going to visit, idiot. And also did I heard talk about you becoming the new leader of the village?"

As he groaned, I laughed, he said,"Don't remind me, I don't know how I can turn it down yet."

I said,"Hey it kinda suits you, a lot of people trust you now after all of this."

"Yeah, I guess." He said and looked away. In the corner of my eye I saw the mask girl watching from a distance. I said bye to Klyrax and walked to her.

I said,"Hello, I'm Ava, I didn't thank you for saving be before so thank you."

She leaned against a tree,"I'm Rain and your welcome. Don't worry I'll leave after the party."

I shook my head and said,"No!! I really just wanted to thank you!!"

Rain took off her mouth piece mask and said,"Do you not know who I am?"

I shook my head and she said,"Well, I am one of the most strongest and powerful person in the north."

She held out both of her hands to snow a small flame and sparks of electricity.

"Well that's cool I guess, but I am curious as to why a northern wolf came to the south." I said.

She looked puzzled I think, it's hard to tell with the blindfold on. She said,"A mission to the south for the shadows becuase the south division is swarmed with the human war and needed someone to stop the funding the Fandom Blood Soul gets from slave trading."

"So that's why they captured us?"I said a bit angered.

"Yeah I hate them too anyway I gotta go stop the other routes now."She said.

I said,"By your self?"

She said,"Don't underestimate me, they wouldn't send only me for no reason."

Ethan and Snow walked next to me and he said,"Hey, I over heard you. We can help you, you know. After all I owe you for helping us."

"And we want to prevent what happened to Ava's village happen to others."Snow said.

Rained stood up and said,"Okay sure, my freind told me to be more open anyway."

"Then let's leave at first light,"She said and warped away.

I looked at the horizon and said,"It's a beautiful sunset right?"

"Yeah,"Snow said, she and Ethan took my hands and we all looked at it. I said suddenly,"I don't know what will happen in the future but I am glad to have both of you!!"

I let go of their hands and hopped in front of them and gave them the biggest smile I had ever done."I loved you guys!!"

Their eyes sparkled, they hugged me and said,"We love you too."
