"You fired from ever packing my shit again" I could hear Jeremiah fuss at Brielle over FaceTime while I brought dirty dishes to the back "you packed everything but the shit I needed the most"
"What?"
"My basketball shoes! I had to run to the store and get some more"
"Oh" she laughed a little. I shook my head laughing as well, going back to the front of the kitchen where Kaleia was eating a piece of bacon
I don't know what her and Brielle had going on but they really weren't interacting like that and they just kept their distance
"From hundreds of miles away this boy still manages to talk shit" I told Kaleia while laughing and she just kept a straight face while eating the bacon
"Jeremiah can go to hell for all I care"
"Unt un.. what my bestie did to you?"
"Other than the fact that he a whole liar. Nothing"
"How is he a liar?"
"I know him and Brielle talkin. I just feel it cause I know when people hiding stuff and they hiding a lot"
"Orrr maybe they're just best friends the same way they've always been"
"You can't be serious kinsley" she said with a straight face before walking off and I rolled my eyes

"Whatever" she yelled back, leaving out of the restaurant but I just went back to working, cleaning up dirty plates and things off of the tables. As I brought them to the back I overheard her talking to Jeremiah about Kyran, saying they were supposed to be going somewhere tonight
Honestly I wouldn't have minded then two dating or whatever, but one of my main concerns is we know how Kyran is. And Brielle is extremely innocent and I don't want nothing bad to happen and next thing you know, a whole lot of shit could go down and it's too much history involved between all of our families
I started singing lowly to myself while I went over to where she was and put the dirty dishes where they belong as she looked at me
"What are you singing?"

"Mannn if you don't get out to feelings and turn on some future. Which one of yo boyfriends broke yo heart now?" Jeremiah yelled through the phone
"None cause I don't talk to nobody"
"Cause you still stuck on Dominique huh?"
"No"
" Yeah"
Brielle laughed "leave her alone. She's not worried about no boy. My bestie busy chasing the bag"
"And is. Cause we don't love these hoes"
"You better not be loving shit" I heard my daddy say making both me and Brielle to look. Kyran walked in along with him looking high as the sky
"You don't ever work but still get paid"
"You wish you could be me huh?" He asked and I shook my head
"Don't nobody wanna be like you"
"Light bright who you on the phone with?" My daddy asked Brielle
"Jeremiah"
"Why y'all got Kaleia out there lookin lonely and y'all back here?"
I shrugged "she won't come back here"
