I tried to go to school Tuesday after everything happened but everything was so bad, I didn't even bother going yesterday or today.
First off the crazy ass rumors about me. Apparently because everybody knows I was talking to Kyran and because I was once associated with lashaun that means I apparently lied about being a virgin and I've been through the rest of the basketball team as well
Another rumor going around is that I actually did have sex with lashaun after the movies and he kicked me out after which supposedly led to him and Kyran falling out because I was apparently messing with him and Kyran at the same time
Not only were the rumors bad, but everything else was also spiraling outta control
The whole friend group was in pieces. Kyran wasn't talking to anybody except Jeremiah, and barely that. He didn't even sit at the table, instead he just disappeared for lunch. Kaleia went off with her other friends she made, not talking to anybody either. Me and Kinsley talk but not that much and Jeremiah just hops back and forth talking to everybody.
This was not how I wanted to spend senior year, possibly losing all of my friends especially since we've been so close since birth
THEN to make matters worse, kinsley got suspended for fighting because she heard somebody saying something about me. So obviously that is going to lead to all of our parents finding out what was going on
I heard a knock on my room door and it opened
"You still playing sick?" I heard my daddy's voice
"Can I just be homeschooled? Please" I groaned, turning with my back facing the door and he walked in, sitting on my bed
"Brielle. School can't be that bad"
I took the blanket from over my face, turning on my back to look at him
"Everybody hates me. The school, my friends... all the people I care about"
"All the people you care about don't hate you.... Now if you talkin bout Kyran, just say his name"
I froze and he chuckled
"Brielle the only person that don't know about you and Kyran is karma. And when she do find out.. that's a different story. But we all know. Especially benji nosey ass"
"And he told y'all"
"No. But I know when he know some shit... and one thing about Meechie, he get on my nerves with that lightskin shit, but he ain lie when he said it's hard for lightskins to hide their emotions. Especially when yo pale ass turn red, blushing everytime you around him or when you hear his name being brought up. And trust me Meechie already clown you about it when you ain around"
"Oh my gosh" I sat up, putting my face in my hands
"Whatchu embarrassed about?"
"Because.. this is embarrassing"
"Ain nothing for you to be embarrassed about. Now I ain gone lie, I ain know how to feel at first when I found out hall was talkin cause it just took me by surprise. And plus you my babygirl so ion play bout you. But I do know if I did one thing right in life, it was raising you to be smart, responsible and mature. And I know Kyran wouldn't do nothing with bad intentions towards you"
"I really did like him"
"Well what stopped you from liking him still?"
"It's just so much drama that's been going on since we started talking"
