I don't know how many hours passed. I changed into the white clothes and my other clothes were then burned in front of my eyes the jacket victoria my adopted mom gave me, the clothes Nathaniel stole for me, everything I knew was being burned in front of my eyes, the bow my father had made for me with his initials on it, the arrows everything I had ever had from my parents was now gone. But I was lucky to smuggle and keep my pictures of my daughter, the one piece I still had from home. After pacing for hours I finally sat on the bed. I had no shoes or socks, just my bare feet on the cold cement. I climbed up onto the bed and leaned my back on the cold wall. The cold wall and air made my breath hitch in my lungs. I pulled my legs to my chest and leaned my head on my knees. I don't know how many hours passed before someone opened the flap and shoved someone inside of it. The man said it was food but what lay on that plate was not food. I turned my head away and after what felt like years I heard the metal tray scrape on the mental door and the latch click. I waited a few seconds before I turned my hair back to the door. The "food" was gone and I laid my head back down.
"Are you alright?" I heard Samuels voice. It wasn't out loud but it was in my head. I looked around confused until I remembered we could communicate with our thoughts.
"A little banged up, ok a lot banged up I had to use my old shirt and tie a bandage around my leg, they cut my thigh pretty badly and my lip and eyebrow is also cut." I replied making sure it wasn't out loud.
"They hurt you?" He asked, he sounded angry.
"Yes, it's nothing I can't handle. I promise I'll be fine, what about you? Are you alright?" I asked him.
"I'm fine they did nothing to me, they actually let me go. I don't know why but they just grabbed me and shoved me out the door. I'm headed back to the middle ground now. I will save you Serena. I won't leave you there." He said and then his voice stopped. My head started to ring. It got louder and Louder it was a screeching noise like when you drag metal across mental. My head felt like it was going to explode. The sounds were excruciating and it was painful. I was screaming now the sound was getting louder and louder, I put my hands over my ears and tucked my legs to my chest and just screamed. I could barely hear Sam anyone as he screamed my name at the top of my lungs. I can only imagine he heard me screaming. It was an ear piercing scream. And then the sounds slowly faded out. I pulled my hands away from my ears slowly and there was blood on my hand.
My breathing became quick and shaky. I wiped my hands off my shirt and got up. I walked to the large mirror and put my finger to the glass, something my father had taught me to do, my finger touched my reflection of the finger. This was a two way mirror I was being watched but I couldn't see them but they could see me. I slammed my fist into the glass with such force the fake mirror shook. I heard an audible scream and stuff falling over. Someone was in there. I grabbed a chair which I'm sure they didn't know that I knew this trick. Once I had grabbed the chair I chucked it with all my strength that remained at the glass and to my surprise it broke the window shatters and alarms sounded. I grabbed the leg of the chair to use as a weapon and hoisted myself up into the room. The room was dark and covered in screens just like middle ground. The room was only lit by the flashing red light. The room wasn't very big, only big enough to fit two or three people. The room was occupied by a large L-shape desk. On the desk sat a computer and a little red dot standing in the room. Me, they were tracking me, I wanted to know why or how they were tracking me but I didn't have time. I had to get out. I walked over to the door and it had a lock only opened by a keypad.
I looked around and saw a woman cowering over in the corner, she handed me her key immediately when I walked over there and said what I could only guess would be something along the lines of don't hurt me, I heard Oliver speak it a lot but never understood what it said or the words. That meant she was from prophis, she spoke the same language as Oliver. I grabbed the key and opened the door. I stopped in front of the entrance. I didn't know where I was supposed to run. All I knew was to run. I peaked around the corner and when no one stood there I ran. I ran towards a hallway and into a room I turned around and saw two guards in the room. When they spotted me I jumped into action, I slammed the wood into the first guard's side; I wanted to knock them unconscious and not kill them. One of them Grabbed me from behind. I launched my body forward and then backwards slamming the back of my head into his forehead. He collapsed on the floor unconscious. The second guard grabbed my hair and threw me across the room. I landed with a snack into the wall, I came crashing onto a glass table with my weight and the force of the land the table shattered into a million pieces. I got up the glass cutting my hands and feet. I lunged my entire body weight at the guards throwing him to the floor. He landed on top of another glass table. With another screech then glass shattered. The guard stood up and grabbed my arm he pulled me towards him and I used all my weight to swing up and around him my legs wrapped around his neck I swung my entire body around him spinning him in a circle and when the time was right and he was dizzy I threw myself to the ground and landed with my feet flat on the concrete.
