I felt horrible leaving my daughter, especially in a time like this, she lost her parents once and now I felt like I was betraying her and leaving her again. But I had to do this. I had to protect my family and get my wife back. I left the building followed by Alex and Samuel.

"I came from this way, I got about a mile away from the building and I couldn't hear her anymore. They must have her blocked somehow from hearing me. Or..." Samual started but trailed off.

"Don't think like that little brother, our sister is fine I'm sure she is fine." Alex replied, patting his brother on the back. We continued to walk for about 6 miles until we reached some broken branches, I knelt down and examined the broken ground. The dirt was soft and cold to the touch. There were footprints walking towards the middle ground and more footsteps connecting to the other set that turned the other way again and headed back into the shrubs. I continued to kneel down and look around. I trained my ears to be amazing at listening for cues and sounds. I eventually stood up and followed beside the footsteps towards a camp that looked new. The fire was still smoking, the wood was charcoal black and white the smell in the air was full of smoke. I gagged at the overwhelming smell of burnt. I recognized the smell and my stomach twisted. It was the smell of burning flesh, my stomach twisted and turned in all kinds of ways. I dry heaved on the ground but nothing came up. I hadn't eaten in days so I wasn't surprised. I started to run in the direction of the footsteps while Alex and Samuel were on my heel. I approached a large building that looked like something of the future. It had large metal doors with a large metal lock that had been opened. It took all of my strength to open the door along with Alex and samuels help. Everything looked pristine, nothing looked like it had been touched in weeks. I walked over to a man and knelt down and touched my fingers to the nape of his neck feeling for a pulse.

"Nothing." I said out loud. "He's dead." I said.

"What happened here? I know she was here and it has only been three hours since I left." Samuel said, looking around.

"Maybe she escaped?" Alex suggested.

"No there is no way, she would have come straight home. She knows where you came from obviously because Samuel you ran back home so if she escaped not long after you then she would have been home hours ago." I replied with a hint of anger apparent in my voice no matter how hard I tried to hide it. I stood up and walked through another large door into a long hallway. This hallway looked different, tables and benches were destroyed. Bullets pierced the wood and metal of the walls and chairs and benches. My heart picked up speed at the realization set in, she may have escaped but did she survive. What lies before us in these upcoming rooms and was she alive.

"There was a fight here, which is kinda obvious." I said before I trailed off and continued to walk I pulled out a gun that Melody kindly lended to us. I routinely checked every door. Almost every room looked like it hadn't ever been touched. We approached another room where three men had been tied up; they looked to be unconscious. I walked into the room and put my finger to the base of their neck. A pulse, they were alive but in some type of deep coma. I knelt down confused after about 5 minutes. Alex called my name through a device called a radio. We all three had one for safety. I pulled mine out and responded. I walked to where he was and I looked through the window in the room where he pointed. There was glass everywhere and a window had been smashed. I could see only part of the room behind the window. It was full of computers and screens. I continued to walk down the path until I got to a computer room. I entered the room and saw many cameras. Alex came into the room and immediately began reviewing the footage.

"She was in a fight. She seemed to notice this window wasn't a mirror and it was actually a two way window. So whoever was in here could see her but she couldn't see them. As you can see here the window was smashed by a chair or something similar." He said. I bent down to look at what he was seeing. "After that she came into the hall where she went right instead of left and ran into this computer room. She seemed to be looking for a way out because this was pulled up." He pointed to a map on another computer I turned to look for a few seconds and then turned my attention back to Alex. " Then she left. She ran into this room where she appeared to run into these men." He played the video and we saw the largest fight I had ever seen. She grabbed a piece of wood and slammed it into the first guard he then grabbed her. She slammed her head into his knocking him unconscious. Unfortunately then the second guard grabbed her by her hair and chucked her across the room slamming into a glass table which in turn shattered. She was bleeding because of the glass landing in her skin from the impact. She appeared to lunger herself at the guard being thrown once again into a wall. This time she got up and ran and slammed her entire body weight into this guard spinning herself as hard as she could causing the guard causing him to lose balance and fall backwards into another glass table only this time he didn't get back up. She stood there and grabbed his gun. Her chest heaved up and down, her breathing harsh and rough. She dragged the guards to the middle of the room tying them up so they couldn't come after her.
