I lay in bed that afternoon while Oliver wrote a letter to melody to let her know I was safe and so was he. It was quarter to six in the afternoon. Suddenly a realization hit my mind and I slowly sat up. Oliver looked up puzzled.
"Honey, is everything alright?" He asked slowly, getting to his feet.
"No."
"Care to elaborate?" He asked again.
"Someone in the palace isn't who they say they are." I replied looking up with absolute fury in my eyes. Oliver took a step back and I put on the same maroon dress with the train that started at tank top sleeves. I put my black flats on and fixed my hair and placed my tiara on my head.
"Serena, what's going on?" He asked cautiously.
"Just follow me, I will explain everything later." I opened the door and Oliver followed. I walked towards the throne room and pulled four guards into the room along with Oliver and I. We walked to our throne chairs and sat down and just a few minutes later David entered the room.
"You called?" He asked approaching the base of the chairs.
"That is close enough." I replied, sticking my hand out and jolted to a stop.
"Guards grab him." I said forcefully.
"Serena what are you doing!" He yelled being forcefully grabbed by the arms by two of my strongest men.
"Serena! What are you doing, it's just David!" Oliver exclaimed.
I slowly got to my feet and walked down the stairs carefully and stood in front of David and looked down at him.
"Oliver, I would like you to meet your younger brother." I paused and Oliver looked over at me with such bewilderment. " I had come to a realization a few minutes ago, why would the king of Prophis come after me, why not his own son, but that's when I realized that I was engaged to his son so he knew if I was kidnapped he would get Oliver to come. He would use the poison on his own son to forget me and take his fathers side destroying Umbris and forget everything about me and our daughter. And that is why they let my twin brother go to tell my husband where I was because they knew where he would go. Straight into his fathers trap. But what he didn't account for was my abilities and when I killed over half the man in his little rebel group he knew I was dangerous and he knew I would kill every single man in that building. So he made the decision to use the poison on me instead. Because he saw how powerful I was and he knew he could use that to his advantage. He knew I would take his men exactly where they wanted to go. And when I came to Umbris under my spell. You knew exactly what to do. You knew exactly how to get me out of the trance. But how? It didn't make any sense because how would you have known how to fix it unless you were there when it was created. But that also didn't make sense, because I have known you the entire time I have lived here in Umbris. And that's when I noticed, when we were talking I noticed your head turn or your twitch, the same thing that me and my twin can do. But still I was confused on how. But then I remember that you came and hugged me while I had a bow pointed straight at your head. No one in their right mind would hug someone who is threatening their life unless you knew that touch would break the trance. And one I awoke after collapsing you hadn't called a doctor, you had not called for Liam, you didn't panic or freak out when I collapsed you stood there and waited. And when I awoke you were sitting there calm and collected. Not worried about your princess or your king and queen's daughter. So why? Why weren't you worried? Unless you were aware that I would wake up and remember everything." I paused when Oliver started to talk.
"But he woke you up and in doing so you were able to save your parents. So why would he wake you if he wanted your parents dead?" Oliver asked.
"Because they don't want my father and mother, at least not first. I was supposed to believe that they wanted my parents, But if they killed me my parents had no heir, and then after they killed me they would kill my parents. And when I came into the room aware of what was happening Ezra looked surprised but immediately hid his emotions. He tried to run because he knew his twin wouldn't save him. Because you wanted to kill them yourself and take credit for everything, so he became my fathers personal guard and the captain of my fathers army to gain his trust because then he would never suspect you." I paused and David looked up surprised.
