Suddenly......

Kacey's POV

I heard the front door slam shut! Quickly I wiped my eyes and grabbed my iPad to pretend I had just laid there, I was still in my uniform at this point so it looked like I had been to school. SLAM!!!!! My bedroom door flew open and my mum stood there looking really angry. "I got a call from school. Why didn't you go?! You know not to skive school. What has gotten into you?" My mum screamed at me. I was speechless, what could I say. All I could do was cry and that's exactly what I did. Not just because she shouted at me, my arm was throbbing like mad. She sat on my bed and stroked my hair, saying sorry over and over again. "OWWWW!!!!" I cried as she grabbed my arm. She pulled up my sleeve and gasped. She sat there not saying a word.

The mum's POV

When I pulled Kacey's sleeve up, I was stunned. I wanted to ask her why she had done it but I couldn't get anything out. I knew I needed to say something but I was speechless, How could I not know about this. What if this is the reason why she skived school. I hope not because then I will feel so guilty for shouting at her. Eventually, I asked her why she did it and when she told me , I just broke down in tears and hugged her gently, so I didn't hurt her. I hate that school so much I should have never sent her there
