Chapter twenty-three

Kacey's POV:

Once I told Joey about my self harming he looked heartbroken, he just hugged me and I cried into his shoulder. I told him some of them were from back up in Leeds and some were from last night. We were hugging for ages but then we decided to go get a McDonald's as we were really hungry and it was near enough tea time. I ordered chicken nuggets kids meal and a strawberry milkshake. Yes I got a kids meal, I was 12 at the time and it filled me up. Joey just ordered a quarter pounder and a coke. Once we had finished, he walked me home and gave me a hug before I entered the house. Joey cheered me up so much, so glad I turned to him for help.

Leo's POV:

When Joey went out that morning, he didn't say where or why he just went. We, meaning me and the lads, spied out the living room window to see him going to Kacey's house. My mum answered the door but Kacey soon went to the door and they left and walked down the road. We don't know where they went after that. The fact he didn't say anything made us all extremely suspicious. Every now and again we would look out the window to see if they return but we had no luck. The final time we looked they was hugging and Kacey went in her house so Joey walked back home. When he came home he went upstairs and sat in his room, we all pulled each other a funny look. We let it slip and decided to ask him about it in the morning. He stayed up there all night and I couldn't help but feel mad.

Joey's POV:

When I got home I went straight upstairs and avoided the lads, I had to come to terms with what Kacey showed me. Having to keep a secret like that from them was hard. They didn't bother coming to speak to me so I just went to sleep. The next morning I was woke up by my alarm at 9:00am. I slowly climbed out of bed and dived in the shower. Once I had finished, I got dressed and went downstairs to be greeted by loads of death glares but I let it slip.

Jordi: where did you go yesterday
Joey: out why
Jordi: who with
Joey: Kacey why
Jordi: just wondering
Joey: why does feel like you are all mad with me
Jordi: we are
Joey: why I've done nothing
Jordi: what did you and Kacey do
Joey: omg she wanted to speak to me
Jordi: what about
Joey: doesn't matter
Jordi: it does
Joey: it doesn't

Jordi was about to reply but my phone cut him off. I looked at the caller id and it was Victoria. I answered and she told me to get straight over as soon as possible. Quickly, I walked out of the kitchen and put my shoes on and ran over to Kacey's. Victoria answered the door and told me to run upstairs to see Kacey because she had locked herself in her bedroom. Constantly, I knocked on her door but there was no answer, I carried on knocking though until Kacey finally gave up and opened the door. Straight away she ran into my arms and cried and cried, I looked down at her arms to see the cuts. When she noticed she pulled away and looked down.

Victoria's POV:

I woke up at 8:30am and decided to see if Kacey was alright but when I got to her room her door was locked and she wasn't answering. The first thing I thought to do was to ring Joey and get him to come over as soon as possible. I would have called Leo but Kacey told me about what her and Joey spoke about yesterday but she made me promise not to tell anyone else especially Leo. When Joey arrived, he ran straight up the stairs and constantly knocked on her door until she eventually gave up and opened the door. As I walked towards Kacey I saw the freshly made cuts on her arms and so did Joey. She looked at the floor and just collapsed in tears. Joey told us about the lads being funny which caused Kacey to say she needs to explain everything to them so that Joey doesn't lose his mates.

Right now it's 1:20am in the morning and I ain't getting any sleep😭
Will be a few chapters up because all I'm going to do is sit and write😏
Really need to get my social life back😒
