Griffin spun around in his chair and was met with a scowling Jenkin. Which unfortunately meant bad news, not good.

"Let me guess? Nothing new?" When the lawyer shook his head, Griffin knew there really was nothing they could do to help Ash's case.

He sat down across from Griffin and sighed into his hands, "Callenreese, I think i'll be able to get him to be released early. His fingerprints don't match the ones on the gun."

Griffin arched an eyebrow at his friend. "So why they long face?"

Jenkins looked up at him and gave a halfhearted smile. "Because. We don't know if it will work or not."

"If you started off with that, this could've been avoided." Which it's true. Why start off with the bad news when there was a huge piece of evidence proving Ash's innocence? It was a bad play on Jenkin's part, if you asked Griffin.

The lawyer chuckled to himself before making eye contact with Griffin. "Well you see, there's a lot more to this kids fingerprint that we're trying to figure out. Like his past."

"Anything vital from there? Or is it all useless?"

"Well, he went to juvenile when he was fourteen for murder. Supposedly met the gang leader of the Chinese gang there, and became best friends."

The leader of the Chinese gang? They had a Chinese gang? Griffin assumed it was made up mostly of the street kids who live in Chinatown, and a few Chinese from around that general area.

"What's the leaders name? Or do you not know?"

"Shorter Wong, I believe."

Griffin remembered hearing the Eiji kid talk about meeting a 'Shorter' dude. Could that be the same person he's referring to? I mean, Shorter isn't a very common name. And judging the fact that Ash was supposedly best friends with him, it's more likely the same person.

Griffin nodded, "Great. Can we track down this punk? Or no?"

Jenkins laughed a little before meeting Griffin's eyes, "Way ahead of you."

What a cute, little rundown shop this was. Griffin entered the Chang Dai, a small Chinese restaurant deep in the depths of Chinatown. Not in the populated area either. It's no surprise to Griffin that a gang leader lives here.

When he entered a girl, at least he thinks it's a girl, lead him to a seat and gave him a glass of water while he waited for her to come back and take his order. Needless to say, this was not a busy shop. But, Shorter Wong is known to be seen here during work hours.

A purple mohawk caught his attention, especially in a shop full of older people with salt and pepper hair. Griffin directed his eyes towards the burst of colour. Yellow and green vest thrown over a long white shirt, ripped jeans, red and white Jordans. He seemed to have an eyebrow piercing and was wearing sunglasses. That's when he noticed that the ball of colour was heading his way.

The guy stopped at his table and stared at him. Or at least Griffin thinks he did, as the guys sunglasses were really dark. "Ive never seen you here before. What brought a newbie around these parts?"

"Pardon?"

The male ran his hand through his mohawk, in attempts to fix it. "Well, we usually get the same guests. They often live in this neighbourhood so i see them around a lot. But you? I've never seen you before. Although you remind me of someone."
