The next day came and I was glad that there was nothing I needed to do at the office today

I held Sooyeon's hand tightly as we walked together around the mall, the other hand carrying the paper bags filled with things she had bought today

"I'm thankful you're spending time with me today, even though you could've just rested..." Sooyeon says

I assured her there was nothing to worry about since I loved spending time with her, I would spend time with her every day if I could

I followed where she was looking and it was the bags I was holding

"I bought too much didn't I?" I shook my head, "Sooyeon it's okay, I was the one who wanted to buy these for you anyway," I said smiling widely and she did too

"What did you do yesterday?" I asked her wanting to know how she has been for the past few days since I haven't seen her because of work

She just hummed, "it was okay, I just stayed at home," was all she said

"What did you do at home by yourself?"

"Just you know, the usual"

I nodded and looked around before I noticed a cafe nearby, I looked at my watch seeing that it was past noon. I looked at her and she seemed to notice

"Would you like to eat?" she looked at her stomach before agreeing and we walked to the cafe together

When we took our seats a waitress appeared right away and took our orders

I could tell that Sooyeon was hungry especially since she ordered so much food which made me chuckle, I then ordered what I wanted and when the waitress left I looked at Sooyeon who was on her phone

I fiddled with my fingers remembering the conversation I had with my parents last night and wondering how I can bring it up

'Should I just be direct?'

"Sooyeon..."

She looked at me and hummed, she placed her phone down on the table and smiled

"Yeah?"

"I had a talk with my parents last night," I say which made her smile slowly disappear, "oh, about what?" she asked quite nervously

"It was about the fake girlfriend I've made up, they want to meet her," what I'm saying is kind of nonsense, how can my parents meet this fake girlfriend when it's not actually true?

Her expression looked worried, "what are you gonna do about it?" she asked and I shook my head while staring blankly at the table

"I'm not so sure..."

I can't introduce Sooyeon to them saying it's her, since they've met her before I said Sooyeon and I had 'break up'

It was silent for a bit, we were both thinking about what to do

I looked at her when suddenly tapped my wrist, she looked like she had an idea

"What if you get someone to pretend to be your girlfriend?" I was surprised by what she said, "what?"

"Isn't that a good idea Jake?"

I shook my head, I didn't like her idea at all. She frowned seeing how I was not agreeing with her idea at all
