"I'm leaving now Mirae!" I shout while struggling to put on my shoes, I looked as she appeared in front of me and bid me goodbye

Once I got to put on my shoes I bid her goodbye as well before walking out of our apartment

I fixed my shirt and hoped what I'm wearing today is fit for wherever we were going today

I looked to see CEO Sim was already there, how odd it is to see him wearing something other than his formal clothes

'Still looks handsome,' I scoffed knowing how it's unfair to look good any day

"You ready?" he asked once I reached in front of him, I replied with a yes before he opened the car door for me and I got inside

He made his way to the driver's seat and once he closed the door I put on my seatbelt

"Where do you wanna have lunch?" he asked and turned to me, his hands were already on the wheel getting ready to drive 

Now I wasn't prepared for that, I'm supposed to pick?

"Uhh... Anywhere is fine with me"

"Sure?" he asked to make sure and I confirmed with a nod, he nodded as well before he started driving

Since he is wearing casual clothing, I supposed he would take us somewhere not fancy, which is a good thing I feel bad that he's spending so much money

We arrived at the place and it looked like a simple restaurant, we followed the waiter as he brought us to our table

We both took our seats and once we did he immediately began talking, "I hope you don't feel too awkward because we need to get along well for my family to buy our act"

I nodded agreeing with him, he handed me a menu and told me to order something first

When our waiter came back, we began ordering our food right away and once he left CEO Sim spoke again

"It may seem a bit rude but... Have you been in a relationship?" he asked and I nodded, though he asked it didn't seem rude to me

"I was just asking because if you've been in one, I bet it's easier to act like a couple right?"

"I suppose?" I say a bit unsure, he just nodded

"I don't have a boyfriend now, I mean I wouldn't have said yes to you if I did"

"Yeah..." CEO Sim just chuckled at my awkwardness, oh please help me...

I got more embarrassed after that so I was more quiet and short with my answers

"Sooyeon is my first girlfriend, I really love her," I couldn't help but smile at his words, though I didn't like her it was nice to know someone loved her

"I've only had one boyfriend too, we broke up a few years ago," I shared and he nodded, he looked like he wanted to ask what happened but was hesitant to do so, so I just continued to cure his curiosity

"It didn't really work out, he didn't trust me as much as I trusted him. He thought I was cheating on him with my best friend," I say, quite bitter

"I'm sorry," CEO Sim says which made me shake my head, "no no! It's alright, he was a jerk anyways"

I chuckled trying to brighten the mood, but I guess that only made it awkward

When the waiter handed us our food, I began eating it taking a few glances at CEO Sim to see if he was okay or not

"What are you interested in Y/n?" he finally spoke after ending our conversation earlier, I finished swallowing my food before replying

"Um... I'm not really sure..." I say as I tried to think about it, "you don't have a specific interest?" he asked and I shook my head, "I'm okay with anything I supposed," I say

He just nodded, "well I love animals, especially dogs," he shared which made me smile, "oh you're an animal person?" I ask and he nodded with a smile

"I have a dog of my own, Layla," he says as he took his phone out of his pocket before showing me pictures of his dog

"Aw! How adorable," I wasn't lying to see how cute Layla was, I chuckled to see how CEO Sim had taken selfies with his dog

How cute

He placed his phone on the table after showing me a few photos of his dog, "do you have any specific animals you like?" he asked

I thought about it for a while before answering, "maybe... Sharks?"

I couldn't help but chuckle seeing CEO Sim's change of expression, he probably found my choice of animal odd. "Sharks?" I nodded when he repeated what I said, confirming if that's what I said

He just nodded, "I guess people have different preferences, why sharks?"

"I have no clue either," I laughed and he did the same

"Also CEO Sim-"

"Jake, you can call me Jake. We're not at the office," he smiled, I hesitated but shook my head, "I-I can't"

"Well maybe for now, but I'm telling you ahead to call me Jake," he smiled, "you were saying?"

"Should I act like myself when meeting your parents? Or is there a specific way you want me to act"

He nodded, "just act like yourself, you only have to act like I'm really your boyfriend"

When CEO Sim said it made me think, I should have my limits too since he isn't single. I don't want that one day at the company a shouting Sooyeon would come to my cubicle

I just nodded as to what he said and we continued eating

It made me think a lot about how I should pretend because he might be uncomfortable if I do certain things. I should just stick with the flow...

Though today, it wasn't as awkward as I thought, I thought the whole time it would be quiet we actually had some conversations. Weird because after every conversation I would remember I'm having a casual conversation with my boss?
