After work, I took the bus home with Mirae

The moment we arrived in our apartment Mirae began preparing our dinner

Since I wasn't a good cook I just took a shower before watching TV in the living room

I looked at Mirae who was walking in my direction with two bowls in her hands

I sat up from the couch and looked at the food when she placed it on the coffee table

"Looks delicious!"

"Yeah, because I made it," she handed me a pair of chopsticks

We both immediately began eating, "you should practice cooking you know, I can't cook all the time"

I glared at her, "hey I know how to cook, it's just..."

"The food you cook is either burnt or tastes bad, that's why I said practice. Once you have kids you and your husband gonna take turns on cooking"

Her saying made me remember my conversation with Mrs.Sim at the company

"You okay? Did I offend you?" she cut me out of my thoughts

I shook my head, "no I'm just thinking"

Lots of things have been bothering me lately, most of it comes from being in this pretend relationship with CEO Sim

I didn't like the fact I was lying to his family, especially since they're so kind and they trust me a lot

Another thing was I didn't want to tell Mirae much about it since I didn't want to drag her to the problem and give me lectures about my decisions

She knew what was happening but I didn't want to continue venting out to her or talking to her about it

She might get sick of it too unless she asks then I'll talk about it

"It's work, isn't it? I told you to relax a bit! You'll get migraines if you keep being a workaholic," she says with her mouth full

I just nodded and agreed

As we ate dinner, a notification popped up on my phone, it was a text message

I put my chopsticks in my bowl and picked up my phone

It was from CEO Sim, I took a glance at Mirae and she was too focused on the TV so I opened the message

CEO: I heard from my mom that you two had talked earlier
CEO: Thank you for acting even though I wasn't there Y/n

Me: Of course CEO Sim

CEO: CEO Sim? I believe it isn't working hours anymore
CEO: I hope you can be more comfortable with me you can see me as your friend

Me: Yes Jake
Me: Thank you
Me: :^)

"By the way"

I looked at Mirae who suddenly spoke, I turned off my phone and looked at her, "yeah?"

"How long do you plan to keep your act with CEO Sim Y/n? I know I keep asking this but I'm worried about you"

I sighde hearing her question because I did not know the answer to that at all

"I'm not so sure...Probably until CEO Sim wants to"

Hopefully, soon he'd tell his parents that he and I 'broke up' so we can end pretending about our relationship to them

Because I'm not sure when I can continue acting

"Also you should make sure you keep your distance from him"

"I know that already Mirae..."

"I'm just saying! Even though Sooyeon did agree with this fake girlfriend, she's still THE GIRLFRIEND of the man who's your fake boyfriend"

I nodded while eating my food

"She gets jealous over the tiny things too"

"Yet she was the one who suggested having a fake girlfriend to CEO Sim"

"It's not even just that, the fact his family approves of you two more than Sooyeon and him, that sucks"

Can't agree more with that, if I were in Sooyeon's place and heard that I would be devasted

Which makes me wonder if there's more to than just Sooyeon's personality and how she behaves that makes the Sim family hate her so much
