Walking with Mirae to work while she continued blabbering about anything, "but she's nice even though her brother is a brat"

Replying to her stories by humming or nodding my head, since I was focused on checking if I have brought all the documents for work today

"Y/n!-"

I was pulled back and my focus was now on what was in front of me, I had almost bumped into a trashcan. Mirae had pulled me using my shirt, I turned to look at her and she was glaring at me

"Sorry-"

"What if you didn't know there was a car? You'd die!"

She grabbed my stuff from my hands and held it tightly, "let's focus on walking?" she asked which made me chuckle

She linked her arms with mine and we continued walking, since she used her other arm to hold my documents I couldn't check on them until we head to the office

"Oo~ Should we buy coffee?"I asked as I pointed to the coffee shop where we always bought our coffee, since it was near the company it was our go-to coffee place

Answering me with a yes I brought along with her inside the coffee shop, there weren't many people inside since it was still quite early in the morning

While waiting in line she gasped while looking at her watch, "I need to go, I have to meet with our co-workers," she says in a rush

"It's starting soon, how does the time pass so quickly..."

"Go ahead, I'll buy your coffee for you," she smiled and handed me my stuff before running out of the coffee shop

Since today wasn't a busy day for me, I still had plenty of time before I had to begin with my work. Looking back at the line, the person in front of me had finished ordering and it was my turn to order coffee

Once I finished ordering I walked to the side to wait for my order to be prepared, I leaned on the wall and began using my phone while waiting

I looked up as the sound of the chimes on the door rang, it had caught my attention. 'CEO Sim is here...'

Well supposed he was here to buy coffee, it seemed like he hadn't noticed me since after looking around he walked straight to the cashier. He was alone since I didn't see anyone walk in with him, nor was Daewan here with him

Not minding him either I just got back to what I was doing looking at my phone again, humming while scrolling through my phone and tapping my index finger on my arm while waiting patiently

"Oh? Ms.Y/n," I looked up to see CEO Sim in front of me, turning off my phone quickly and placing it in my pocket

I greeted him with a small smile, and he did the same. It suddenly became awkward, I mean, of course, it became awkward, what else am I supposed to say to my boss? We're not even friends

I didn't look at my phone anymore since it would seem rude if I just ignored his presence, I took a few glances at him his facial expression showed he had a lot on his mind though

Should I ask or not? Wait no, that's gonna make it seem like I feel close to my boss or something

"Can I ask you something? Well not really ask but..." I focused on CEO Sim who uttered, I just nodded and placed my hands together waiting for him to continue
