"That dress looks so good on you!" Mirae tells me once she saw the photo I sent her of me

I was showing her a picture I took with the dress that Jake's grandmother had bought for me

I loved the dress on me too!

"But isn't it expensive?" I nodded, "that's why I didn't want to buy it at first, but Jake's grandma insisted that she'd pay for it..."

"Their family is not only rich but angels," Mirae puts down her phone and looked at me

I was video chatting with her using my laptop, I was sitting comfortably on the chair while my laptop was on the table

"Any plans for the day?"

"Jake said we're going out after lunch, I'm not sure where though"

"Oh, what happened the past few days though? Did anything happen?"

I knew what she meant by anything, in her words, she wants to know if anything 'interesting' had happened

"No..."

"That no seemed unsure, what are you thinking of Ms.Song Y/n?"

Should I share that I've been getting mixed feelings about Jake? I shook my head thinking it was too early to tell her that

So I made something up, "the most interesting that happened Mirae was him calling me love, that's all"

"Ah, you guys have nicknames for each other already? Sweet"

Mirae had her teasing face on and I just rolled my eyes and mentioned he had Sooyeon

"Oh! About those two, has Sooyeon been complaining about you to him?"

I shrugged, I wasn't gonna tell her about what Jake had told me, I didn't know if he wanted it to be a secret but just to be sure I didn't say anything

"I'm not that close to him Mirae, I don't know"

She just nodded her head and accepted whatever I had told her

After I was dressed I went to the entrance to meet Jake and his family there

When I saw Jake walking towards me from afar, I slowly walked up to him

"Hi, let's go?" Jake said as he was in front of me, I furrowed my eyebrows

"Where's your family?" I asked him but he just chuckled, "oh it's just gonna be the two of us"

He held my wrist and we walked out of the hotel together, but I was still left confused

Just the two of us?

I was surprised but he didn't even explain as we walked toward the car

Once we were inside and he started driving I asked him

"Just us two?"

"Yeah"

"Why?"

He took a glance at me and smiled, but I was waiting for his answer

"Mom, my mom wanted us to spend time together while we're not busy, and why not? It can be a friend date"

I finally understood it, well that was also a way for his parents not to suspect us
