Trying

The next days passed so slowly, and the simple wonder if Rocky really liked me started killing me inside.

So I decided to spend the following weeks thinking by myself

No more little chitchats with Skye every now and then Chase is not bothering around. No more messing around with Zuma. And most importantly, no Rocky.

Maybe that's why the days passed so slowly

"Well, who knows. Maybe he does and I'm just screwing it up" I say out loud, no one around

I sigh, as I rest my head on one of the metal bars that hold the 'Welcome to Adventure Bay!' sign

"No, I know Zuma used to live around here somewhere but I'm not going to look for him"

And the wind gently wooshes, slightly pushing my fur to one side. The snow was melted almost at its entirely and flowers began sprouting

"What do you think Chase is doing right now?"

I thought I hated Chase

"Well. . . Yeah but, just wondering"

And my pup-tag shines. The last time it shone was a day before my 'decision'

I quickly stand up and jog to the road, approaching the red firetruck that's parked there, waiting for me.

I make my way to the Lookout as fast as possible, and surprisingly for me I get to the elevator on time, the rest of the pups were there

"Marshall?" I hear Rocky whisper from behind me

"Hm?"

"Can we talk afterwards?" He asks, placing a paw on my shoulder

And the elevator doors open.

We all quickly get in position and Chase stomps his paw on the floor "Paw Patrol, ready for action sir!" He exclaims in an authority tone

"So, Mayor Goodway and I have been talking about-"

But I feel Zuma's paw on top of mine, taking all my attention away

"Where were you?" He whispers

I shake my head, moving my paw away "Not now" I whisper back

"-more things. So, let's go outside everybody" Ryder finishes

We make our way to the first floor, everybody murmuring on the way down. Everybody except Rocky. He just sat down in front of me, quiet, trying to get my eyes' attention.

But I don't know. . . Maybe I'm in the wrong

Once the elevator opens, Ryder leads everybody to the back side of the Lookout.

And a big Bus, painted red and white, with some blue decorations, was waiting there.

Inside, a driver seat and a co-pilot seat, behind two big couches and then a space big enough to fit all our pup-houses.

"Tomorrow, we will meet Carlos! He lives in the jungle and we will go in the Paw Patroller"

Eventually everybody started, little by little, heading their own way. But Rocky stayed, not taking his eyes from me

And I was just. . . Doing my own thing

I make my way to town and walk inside Mr Porter's restaurant. Rocky following behind

"Hello Marshall, what can I get you?" Mr Porter asks as he gets behind the windshield

"A carrot cake please, and" I turn around to Rocky, who's still, with a frown, staring at me "Do you want anything?"
