Josie POV

I'm on my way to the cafeteria to meet up with Hope, since we're going to eat at the grill. When I arrive, I see her talking to Faith. I walk over to them with a smile. "Hey, baby" she says, immediately smiling. I return the smile, but before I could greet her, she pulled me into a long kiss. "You guys are so disgusting" Faith says, then I hear her walk away. She pecks my lips a few times, then pulls away. "You ready, love?" she asks. "Mhm" I hum. She grabs my hand, then says "Let's go then".

We start walking out, and when we get out of the school, she asks "How's your day been?". "Good. Yours?" I reply. "It's been good" she answers. "You know, my legs are getting tired" I say. "What do you mean? We just started walking" she exclaims. "I know, but they're tired" I reply. She looks at me for a moment, then stops walking. "Get on" she says, crouching down a little, so I can get on her back. With a smile, I go behind her, and jump onto her back.

"Good?" she asks. I lock my legs around her waist, and wrap my arms around her neck loosely. "Yea" I answer. She starts walking. "I'm not too heavy, am I?" I ask. "No, you're good" she answers. Her hands on my thighs are making me feel things...good things. I close my eyes, and lay my head on her shoulder. "Remind me of where to go" she says a few minutes later. I open my eyes, and look around. "Take a right, then keep going straight" I tell her. "You comfortable up there?" she asks.

"Mhm" I hum, not wanting to lift my head again. She chuckles, but doesn't say anything else. A little bit later, she stops walking. "You wanna get down, so we can order?" she asks. "No, not really" I answer. "How are we gonna get our food then?" she follows. I let out a sigh, but get off anyways. She takes my hand into hers, and we walk in. We quickly order our food, then sit at a table outside. "So, do I get a new uniform, or only this one?" she asks. "You can get a new one" I answer.

"I wanna choose this time" she says. "Ok. They're in a box in the closet near the front door" I tell her, and she nods in response. "Can I choose yours tomorrow?" she asks. "What?" I reply. "It's only fair that I get to do the same for you" she says. "Fine, but if I don't like it, I'm not wearing it" I answer. "That's not fair. I didn't necessarily like this one, but I still wore it" she says. "Well, it's different" I reply. She furrows her eyebrows, then asks "How?".

"How do you think?" I ask. She rolls her eyes, then says "You're not my boss, Josie". "Says who?" I counter. "Me" she answers. "You don't have a say in this" I tell her. "Oh, really?" she asks. "Mhm" I hum. She nods while licking her lips. She doesn't get to say anything else before our food and milkshakes come out. The waitress gives her a not-so-friendly smile, like she's flirting with her. She returns the smile, which kind of makes my chest feel heavy. Though, I don't say anything when she walks away.

I just silently start drinking my milkshake. I glance up at her, and see her eating her food, while also staring at me. "What are you staring at?" I ask. "A really pretty girl who just so happens to be my girlfriend" she answers. I try my best not to blush, but it's practically inevitable to do, no matter what she says. "I, um..." I start, looking down. "I don't think I've ever had a girlfriend as good as you" I admit shyly. She didn't say anything for a while, so I look up at her.

She was smiling at me. And it wasn't a regular smile. You know the kind of smile you give your best friend when you haven't seen them for what feels like ever? That's the smile she's giving me now. "So, would you say I'm the best girlfriend you've ever had?" she asks. "Yea" I answer. She literally beams at that. I don't think I've seen her so happy. "You're the best girlfriend I've ever had too" she tells me. I smile to myself, and start eating my food.

After we finished eating, we started making our way back to the school, even though we still have another hour before class. "Kaylee texted me, and said they're at the football field" I say. "Do you wanna just go hangout with them until we have to go back to class?" I ask. "Yea, sure" she answers. We get to the school in no time. I was gonna grab her hand, but they were stuffed in her pockets. Instead, I lock arms with her. I see her smile at the gesture, but she doesn't say anything.
