(SIDNEYS POV)

Joan had put cherry lipgloss on me with a light blush and then put my hair into a half up-half down since I had kind of short hair. I looked at myself and I glared. I almost.. liked it?

"You look really pretty." Joan said after cleaning off my suit.

I looked down. My buttons had been fixed and my pants didn't look like they were from the 60s anymore.

I looked in the mirror and almost smiled.

Joan then gripped my arm, basically dragging me down the hallway.

"Joan slow down-" I said.

Joan swung open the gym doors and saw that Harley was near the entrance.

She basically threw me at Harley, but I turned around on accident so we bumped into each other.

Harley yelped then turned around.

I had my face turned to her as well.

"Who the fuck do you th-" she got cut off when she saw me.

"Sidney?" She asked softly.

I turned and looked around.

"I- uh.."

"Can I talk privately with you?" I asked softly.

Harley almost smiled, then sat her cup on the table next to them.

"I'll be back." She said to her friends, then walked with me to the gym entrance.

"W-what's up?" She asked.

I looked around. There was still a lot of people.

"Can we talk.. more privately?" I asked.

"Oh- sure."

She followed me to a office near the entrance of the gym.

I paced around for a while, then noticed Harley looking at me.

"Oh, sorry. I was zoning out." I said nervously.

"So uh, how have you been?" I asked, trying to act normal.

"F-fine. I have some new friends and I have been doing good in school.." she sad, trying to start a conversation.

"What about you?" She asked.

"Me?"

She nodded.

"I-I don't know.." I said, staring deeply into Harley's eyes.

"Are you.. are you still in love with me?" She asked.

I blinked.

"I-.. I think I'll always be in love with you.." I said nervously as I walked over to her and sat next to her.

"What about you?" I asked.

"I've been in love with you since the day in the bathroom." She said, chuckling a bit.

I chuckled back awkwardly.

I walked to her and sat down on the floor with her.

I turned to her so I could see her side profile. She turned at me as well.

I leaned in and kissed her.

I rose my hand and held it behind her head, pulling her closer.

I pulled away.

Harley smiled a bit.

"Harley, I know we should just stick to friends, but I'll always love you." I said, getting up.

I helped her up as well.

"Friends." She repeated, then smiled.

Friends. What a word. A word that meant absolutely nothing to the world. I walked out the room.
