Hey ppl!

I decided to use an idea from @Combosnpowerups (Thank you for the suggestion!) and the other suggestion from the person who originally requested the first part, @LollipopGreen6

So with nothing else left to say, here's the story!

ENJOY THE CHAPTER!

(Y/n)'s POV-

It's been months since anyone had seen Marcy, Anne, and Sasha. For all we know they could've run away, been kidnapped... or worse. I don't think the worst has happened though.

Something seemed off about Marcy the day of Anne's birthday, which is when they all disappeared. Now, I know Marcy had been rather cold to me despite whatever I did to try and convince her that EJ had gotten the jump on me instead of allowing him to corner me in the alley, but this was different.

When I kept my distance, that morning Marcy seemed normal, her sweet personality and kind of clueless clumsiness was apparent. But towards the end of the day, she was downcast, like something had happened, and clearly I didn't know what it was. Anne and Sasha had skipped the last couple classes, but I don't think that was the problem, though it was a problem that Sasha had most likely forced Anne to skip on her birthday. The good thing was that I gave Anne her present before she left; a new phone case she wanted.

Fast forward to that night while I saw my parents watching the news, the three friends on screen with the word "missing" right next to them. I spent weeks looking for any clues, going to any places I could possibly find them, even trying to get the police station nearby to give me any information on the case, but of course, they wouldn't give a thirteen-year-old information on missing people.

I stopped working so much at All In One, never coming out of the kitchen with only a little bit of time spent there per week at all. I just didn't want to cook or bake anymore. I couldn't even bare to look at the recipe for red velvet cupcakes.

I couldn't help but feel as if Marcy going missing was my fault, even if it probably wasn't. I wish we could've made up before she left. Or that I could've told her... no. Don't. Stop that thought, (Y/n).

My parents noticed this and tried to help, giving me the space I needed for a while. Especially my mom, who I think understood my three friends disappearing was something that impacted me severely particularly Marcy.

I mean... I care about all of them but Marcy always seemed like the person who cared the most about me and vice versa. At least, before the incident.

"(Y/n)... I know you're sad. But you need to get out of your room for other things than school and when we need you to work. Especially now that it's summer."

I looked up, my mom standing in the doorway with a pitying expression. She liked Marcy too, but not the way I liked her obviously.

"Mom... just another day. Please. I don't want to talk to people outside."

She sighed, nodding and walking away. I know she's concerned but I really just don't want to socialize. I'm not super great at it and tripping up in front of strangers isn't really gonna improve my mood. Although... maybe I could visit my friends' parents' houses. I can start with Anne's since I know she's the closest. Plus her parents are super nice.

I got up off my bed, throwing on a f/c t-shirt with black jean shorts and putting on an orange baseball cap. It was one that Marcy got me as a gift after I got her a green cap when we went to see a baseball game after one of Anne's tennis matches.
