Learning to Accept (Marcy x Reader) P1

Hey guys!

This was requested by SilverCloud1000 (Who is a really awesome friend ^^)

Bit of a summary- Marcy and the reader are secretly dating, Sasha founds out, and all hell breaks loose. Sadly, Sasha had already hated the reader and was furious (Pre-Amphibia). Marcy still chooses to stay with the reader. Things change when the trio comes back.

Reader is fem.

Also a warning- language gets a bit strong in this one. ⚠️ 

This request was longer than I thought, so it's split into two parts!

A certain ravenette was walking out of her classroom as the bell rang, backpack over her shoulder and switch case in hand. She'd just finished her life science class and started searching for someone she wanted to see in particular.

"Hey, Marc, over here! Congrats on the math test earlier today. I didn't think a grade over 100 was possible." Y/n waved said girl over, leaning against a locker next to the classroom door.

Marcy turned and grinned, rushing over excitedly. "Thanks! I pulled another all-nighter and- WHOA!" She tripped and was about to hit the ground, but Y/n instantly caught her.

"Careful, cupcake." Y/n winked, pulling Marcy closer so she wouldn't slip again.

"Shhh." Marcy blushed and put lifted a finger to her lips. "Not super loud. You know we can't let anyone know we're dating."

"But WHY, again? I mean, if you aren't ready to let people know, I understand, but I just don't see why you're fearing this so much." Y/n tilted her head.

"Well, you know there's a certain someone who hears every piece of gossip in school, and doesn't um..."

"What? Doesn't like me?" Y/n grimaced. "Believe me, I picked up on that from day one."

"I'm sorry, N/n." Marcy frowned, sighing.

"You have nothing to apologize for, okay? I want you to know- it's not your fault." Y/n held her out by her shoulders, sporting a reassuring smile.

She knew that she was probably the only true positive person in Marcy's life. Anne, while she was genuine, was manipulated by Sasha, who was definitively not the nicest to either of them at times. And her parents always pushed Marcy to study more, so that wasn't a healthy relationship either. 

And to be honest... Marcy didn't really have any other friends. Sasha and Anne were pretty much it, and Y/n used to be one- until they started dating, of course, so that was more than friendship.

So Y/n tried her absolute best to be as loving and respectful as possible to Marcy. The only reason she didn't tell the noirette the truth yet about how toxic her friendship was with Sasha and Anne was because Y/n didn't want to shatter her world like that so suddenly. She wanted to drop a few hints instead of a huge bombshell.

"Thanks." Marcy smiled back, giving her girlfriend a tight hug.

She sighed in relief, but that only lasted so long when she spotted Sasha and Anne turning a corner down the hall. She quickly let go of Y/n, who made a confused noise before noticing the pair heading in their direction.

Thankfully, they hadn't seen the two hug.

"Hey, Marbles! Hey Y/n!" Anne walked over with a friendly smile, waving.
